Albeit he was playing cheap (forcing him to body-shield Ilya) and Herakles is honestly nerfed as a Berserker.

And Berserker STILL nearly got a blow in that would have scattered Gil to the winds.

He only wore it any time he met Saber.

In the whole of F/SN, he only ever wears his armor when in the presence he acknowledges someone as a legitimate challenge. If I remember correctly, he also was not wearing it when he gatespammed the Shadow/Sakura.

I was under the impression that Gil not wearing his armor was signifying a slightly different form of his character. I always thought UBW Gil was a little more "off" than Fate GIl. Sorta like how Roa in Tsukihime wore different clothes/hair in the Far side routes vs the near side, reflecting which side of his character was dominant.

Gilgamesh has no sort of justifaction for a different personality, though. SHIKI actually has another soul inside him, it all depends on how close Nanaya Shiki becomes to the Tohnos that depends whether he can't let Roa take him over.

Am I weird for caring more about the plot in Nasu's works than the porn, /jp/? Well, to be honest more the characters than the plot, there's just so many of them and I find a large part of them pretty interesting. Porn is something you see every day, even though those mollusks are a bit rarer than normal porn.
There's also the whole thing about heroic spirits with stats and stuff in F/SN.

The plot isn't really better, the fights are not as awesome and the outdated gfx are an eyesore. you aren't really missing out on much. though akiha's good end was very well done and sad it's probably not worth your time.

On the other hand, there is no indication Tsukihime 2 has been canceled, although all previous material released about it is still tentative.

The manga even ended with a teaser picture of the Dead Apostle Ancestor, Enhance, and the future version of Shiki, Satsujinki.

And if Herakles wasn't insane, he could use Nine Lives. We can't say who'd win in an honest fight, except that Nasu has said that Berserker is the worst class for a clever and skillful master combatant as Herakles.
He is considered one of the strongest heroes of all time, and he's almost as ancient as Gil himself.

Etcetera etcetera.

As always, Gil would probably win if he took him totally seriously. But Herakles is a genius and a formidable warrior in every respect, and it's unknown just how many lives a full power Excaliblast or Enuma Elish would shave off him (a weakened Excalibur failed to kill him even once in a bad end).
