Haven't read the whole thing yet, but a quick ctrl+f shows the word アニメ appears nowhere in that interview.

But I don't care so much about getting a second season. I want Kodansha BOX to get around to putting out the Chiru novels. Though I guess Seikaisha will eventually do a bunko release.

Still have a small shred of hope he'll retcon the fuck out of pretty much all of Chiru.

Umineko is a babby's first VN of the worst kind. It's a bad series, a clusterfuck of setting and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive shipping faggotry and META. The NEET anon can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the series itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad.

However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of its core make it a breeding ground for normal, sociable, underage faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The metaworld characters all trying their hardest to look cool, the magic, the peculiar, colorful clothes, the whole "colored text" faggotry and everything about the Umineko world fuels their escapist fantasies, while the pity-party character backgrounds, emphasis on love, and the overall preachiness of the whole series make it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average preteen and his sense of unwarranted self-importance towards the world. Exactly the kind of shit that makes normals and underage retards eat this shit right the fuck up.

Umineko is basically THE series to attract the most hated visual novel fanbase known to /jp/, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every anon to troll the fuck out of this franchise and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no Umineko threads ever encourage the normalfags to show their faces here.

No, Umiunko is definitely worse. Type-Shit may inspire garbage threads about whether Shiki can kill Servants but even those aren't as bad as those shitty "say it in red!" roleplaying threads that invaded the board in '09.

What's Umiunko?

Anyway, I hope it does get animated, I don't care about quality since the Umineko anime passed to nicomeme status regardless of how bad it was.

I also want to see how Dlanor and Erika will turn out and their voices.

It's actually on the same level as the first four episodes, people just expected way better and kept deluding themselves the next episode would fix everything.

>>It's actually on the same level as the first four episodes

Actually, from a mystery standpoint Legend and Turn were very good stories, save for the fact that they didn't end with an answer to the puzzles (which is intentional, as per Ryu-kun's Question/Answer Arc format). I'm probably biased since I'm a fan of games like Kara No Shoujo and crime novels, though. Banquet was a complete troll episode and didn't really have any interesting mysteries except maybe for the closed room murder ring. Alliance would've been better if it wasn't bogged down with Ange's bullshit and LOL ROMANCE, but that really killed it.

Chiru isn't a mystery at all, but we kind of expected that. What most people were waiting for were answers, which we never got aside from Will's LOL DIDN'T HAPPEN fight with Claire. In the end nothing gets resolved and Chiru is just a bunch of pretentious meta-fights and time-wasting. It's "cool" and "flashy," but it doesn't resolve shit.

5 still has a strong mystery element, and one riddle that nobody has yet given a proper answer that I know of (the letter under the cart part).

>> No.8006597

>>8006565
I think what Chiru did was to change the focus of the reader on the way the mysteries are solved plus giving the backstory of the whole thing as well.

However, by changing the perspective (adding new ways to solve mysteries), it started giving out answers that were proven wrong after each episode (eg: EP7 has everyone re-doing the previous episodes) and in the end, it leaves a cliffhanger of some sorts, most people just gave up any kind of interpretation and opted for bashing it anyway so who cares.

>> No.8006666

>>8006593
The most disappointing factor about Umineko for me is the fact that the riddles seemed impossible to solve only because the only solution available is something so retarded and stupid that everyone wanted to believe it had to be something else.

Most of the stuff in the first four arc can be solved with an unreasonable amount of accomplices and fake bodies. All stuff that when originally proposed in forums were considered too stupid to be possible.

The case of the letter of EP5 can be solved simply with a
"The letter has always been in Kanon's pocket and he lied about where he found it" and "there's never been any knock".
Check it, there's no red that unambiguosly say that they heard a knock.

The worst part of it is that one of the dumbest theories is correct. Sure, it explains things very well, but it relies on everyone in the family being nearly brain-dead for it to be pulled off.

because a lot of people are too stupid for this genre without a clear answer. but with thinking, the answer is clear. i dont understand why people are asking for such silly answers wich are clear. i think, a lot of the umineko readers were just noobs who were pretending to be smart and were starting to write some silly theories without reasoning.
