From the responses I've got it sounds like you guys may have had problems with real females on an emotional level in the past, most likely a ex-girlfriend or someone from within your family. I know, I know, it's dumb to reply to stuff like this seriously; I'm doing it anyway, don't try to stop me. At least I saged my post, right?

I posit that a boyfriend with a waifu has the potential to be superior in terms of fidelity to one without one. Why, you ask? He's already dedicated a significant amount of his time, money and effort into unconditionally caring for someone who will, in realistic terms, if you'll forgive what I'm about to say, never be able to directly return the favor. She can only continue being herself, she can't directly go out of his way to pleasure him.

I think it's noteworthy that the OP image used "likes or looks up to" rather than "loves;" it denotes that although he holds his waifu in fairly high regard, he (presumably) only loves his girlfriend. How is this any worse than being a fan of anything else, how is this more debased or creepy than any other hobby?

I guess I should get back to the point. Because of this unconditionally caring trait, he's not going to do anything like cheat on his girlfriend with another girl for emotional or sexual release; in that sense, he's a bit self-reliant and has a strong enough mind to resist that in lieu for something more pure.
