I figured this would be the best place to ask, aside from /g/. I need to install the east Asian language packs so I can play stuff in Japanese. Of course, I don't have a windows CD, and /rs/ links are all dead. Hopefully you guys understand what I need better than I do, and some help would be super awesome.

I was about to say. I'm still leery of upgrading to 7 because I don't want to break any of my PC98 emulators or touhou games or roguelikes or what have you. I'd rather stick with XP, at least for a few more years

Hey OP. What's up?

I had your problem last week. What I did was download the Windows XP iso (you can find it on TPB) and mount it in a virtual drive. Then I installed the East Asian language pack and referred the installer to my virtual drive whenever it wanted goodies.

Hope this helps.

I actually did this with the WinXP cd for Windows 2000. I wasn't sure it was going to work, but it went swimmingly. WinXP and Win2k are very architecturally similar.
