Why do you come to this board, knowing nothing about it, to ask a group of people you have pulled a perception of out of thin air why they act as you perceive them?

Why not ask yourself why you have that perception in the first place, and further ask what reasons you give to a person when you perceive them like that, without first speaking to them?

It could not have been worded in a poorer way, but what I'm asking is why OP comes to /jp/ and asks /jp/ why they try to act like they're Japanese, when in the first place he's never really come to /jp/, never seen them act that way. He's only formed that perception, and then comes to ask /jp/ why /jp/ acts the way he thinks we act without seeing /jp/ act at all.

Isn't that just the strangest thing to do? It would be better to ask yourself why you assumed, with no evidence, that /fit/ behaves in that manner. Since your image of them is entirely formed in your own mind without real experience, how can you be confused about your own perception enough to ask them why they are that way? You should know why they're that way. Because that is something you invented all by yourself.

Of course, OP's perception is wrong, but that only calls to attention that his viewpoint is clearly not based on experience. If he had formed a more accurate perception in the same way, what he's doing wouldn't make any more sense.
