I have chronic migraines and the medication I take makes me too dizzy to drive or move much.

Why do you stay at home all day, /jp/?

No car, no money, no social life.

I don't. I went out earlier tonight looking for a candy thermometer.

My entire floor is covered in shit, so I can't get out of my chair.

No problems.

>> No.7992325

The question should be, why would I want to go out?

Did you find one?

I have chronic headaches, OP. On a pain scale of 1 to 10 they are around a 4 to 9, with the 9 being terrible migraines I get about 2 or 3 times a month. Overall it's rare for me to have a day without a headache. For me they're usually at the top of my forehead, though I also feel them in my sinuses. I used to take hydrocodone but that ran out and I couldn't get another prescription. Now I use Excedrin and it holds off my headaches for about 5 or 6 hours.

Tell me about your migraines, OP. I'd love to hear about what you take and how bad your headaches are.

I remember my brother used to get terrible migraines when he was younger. My mom would always think he was faking it, too, and start yelling at him whenever he'd display signs of one in her presence.

Coffee, /jp/ and some solitude when looking through the window in the early morning is all I need to function.

My mother bought one earlier today and I didn't like it because of the design and how it'd trap sugar in certain parts so I went to look for one in thrift stores. I visited three different ones and didn't find a single one. When I got home I figured that I'd just have to take care when cleaning the one that my mom got for me.

I'm actually really excited to use it. I'll be able to now make fudges, caramels, and even hard candies much easier now as well as more easily telling the temperature when frying things so they don't end up soaked with oil or burnt. I'm planning on making malasadas tomorrow for dinner with it.

Mine are terrible and can last anywhere from 5-24 hours. On a bad week they are daily.

I've pretty much tried every medication there is and have stemmed them for awhile but they keep coming back. The medications that worked also made me incredibly dizzy and sleepy so I had to leave my high school senior year and take online classes.

I'm about to start using Migranal. I hope it works.

That happened to me at first, too.
My mom thought I just liked ditching school.

Now she feels bad.

Mine never acknowledged that she was wrong, but then my brother did stop getting them years ago, so I guess she probably just forgot.

The worst part about the headaches is that my mom cares too much. I don't have health insurance so going to the doctor is too expensive. So she keeps nagging at me to get a job so I can get health insurance so I can stop getting my chronic headaches.

That really sucks that you're cursed with such things, I really hope you find a way to permanently get rid of your migraines one day. Maybe one day we'll be able to switch our bodies with healthy clones!

I got migraines when I was younger too. I used to see weird auras before they would happen, like silvery liquid gradually covering my entire field of vision. When my eyes went back to normal, I knew the headaches were about to hit.

The other kids would tease me when I told them about it. Every time I had a migraine they'd ask me if I was "seeing demons."

Buncha assholes.

I stay at home to study all day in hopes of earning a lot of money in the future, which would allow me to stay at home enjoying luxuries that I cannot afford at the moment.

Hope it doesn't turn out to be in vain.
