Alright /jp/, now that Tides of Destiny is out, it's time for a new Waifu Factory thread.

I haven't tried the more recent builds, but 3.0 runs it fine other than some audio static. Disabling audio throttle seems to help somewhat.

I doubt that. The game sold over 100k copies, there are VNs that sell a fifth of that, contain FAR more lines of dialogue, and are full voiced. It's simply that they do not feel like spending money on more voice acting.

Hell, even the Rune Factory DS games that sell 100k plus in Japan alone have very little voice acting. Are you going to tell me that DS game development costs are crazy too?

It has nothing to do with budget, and everything to do with how much money they can make. It's like Type-Moons upcoming VN, Mahoutsukai no Yoru or whatever, which is going to be completely unvoiced which is unheard of for modern VNs. Why? Just because they can make more money that way. So stop saying stupid things like it's because of their budget.

Well, let's put it this way. I muted the voices in Frontier they were so bad (since the undub was a broken pile of shit). I haven't muted this one yet. Granted I'm only like an hour or so into it.

I mean, it's still a dub. But as dubs go it's pretty good. Much better than Natsume's previous stuff.

(Honestly, I didn't think the Japanese voice work was anything to write home about, either.)
