why do you watch a show with english subtitles while it's already in english language? that's retarded

>> No.7965091

>>7965088
I did so with Daria because I often couldn't understand the heavily accented English and there were no subs in my language.

Which reminds me, Daria is SO /jp/. I bet she wouldn't mention being a woman here, either. Such female posters I can totally accept.

Not OP, but if you are not native english speaker you may have some problem with accent and some new words you'll get to learn watching a show like this.

I can't believe I watched 13 seasons of South Park.

I wasn't funny after season 5. I don't know for sure if it ever was funny.

I always turn on subtitles if I can. I just don't get spoken dialogue as well as text.

>> No.7965102

>>7965097
I am pretty sure South Park was never supposed to be funny.

It's worth a watch anyway. I mean, other than the occasional shadenfreude, no fun stuff happens. It's just a goddamn social drama and that's it.

Daria is sort of a Mai from Nichijou type character.

1. Go to work.
2. Tackle a new problem, solve it,
3. Get home, cuddle myself into sleep with dakimakura.
4. Wake up, goto 1.

Ok, alright. That was golden, I guess I am going to watch this for a while.

This show was neither as good as Beavis and Butthead nor King of the Hill.

>> No.7965135

>>7965129
Well, depends on what you like I guess. I for one don't enjoy Beavis and Butthad until now, but am grateful it spawned Daria.

I'm not a native english speaker, but I've never had any problems understanding accents. I have, however, problems listening to English accent. I mean the one spoken in the UK and all the islands. That makes me wonder, is this common to our friends from America too?

First read it as that you are going to study it. God, no, the only people who study psychology are either the ones who desperately need to help themselves, or those who want to learn how other people work because they can't tell, or they just want to feel superior in an office where they can tell people how to live, meaning your psychologist can easily and propably will have issues himself. And actual smart person would have just read all the books and study the various cases if they were interested. He didn't, approach him like that.

Also you will have the feeling that he is looking down on you, but if you NEED to be inspected, just answer the first thing that comes to mind, even if it is little girls and yoghurt. I firmly believe that every problem you would have that is chemical can only be solved through medication and every problem that is not you can observe and solve on your own.

Psychiatrists exist to treat actual diseases that spawn from the modern age and tend to know their shit. Psychologists exist because people can't talk about their problems to the priest anymore.

Hello. I have a psychology degree and just popped in to say "No. You are wrong almost in every sentence."
Now that I'm done with that, good luck with your thread guys.
