I remember being 10 years old (incidently that was 15 years ago, no more arcades around here), wasting coins in the arcade, being mezmerized by the dynamics of toothpaste. It was unlike anything I've experienced in SHMUPS, I would stand there mezmerized by the smooth curves it made chaining around enemies.

The Raiden could've flown. From what I read one of Sukhoi's 5th generation concepts may have looked nearly identical, but it got cancelled in favour of the T50/PAK-FA.
At least it was close.

Also you can play Raiden IV on the PC its been dumped, not sure if its speed is though accurate as the TYPE EX loader is based on BlazBlue settings, Seibu being one of those developers that liked rather odd frequencies as seen by all of their other games
