Got the generic Kotonoha hotel ending in School Days HQ. Kinda lukewarm. Taking a break from that, though planning to get the 血祭り ending(s) next, to see if they make up for it.

Still in middle of playing euphoria (hard to play with family home all the time), stalled Tapestry and started reading I/O a few days ago, though I'm kinda stuck since I like having ITH/JParser for new words, but ITH pisses itself in Babylon parts (stops showing recurring characters) so if anyone has working /h code for I/O's Babylon parts (everything else is working fine) I would be most pleased.

Also downloading DI right now.

Finally finished Celenaria + fandisc, goddamn the fandisc just made shit more confusing. I'm assuming a bunch of the material that got introduced in the fandisc comes up in the later WABs and will make more sense then, but still...

Took me forever to finish Celenaria because I've been wasting so much time on 出撃！！乙女たちの戦場 at the same time. Goddammit I am never playing another gesen18 game again, the gameplay has sucked away my life, the story is pretty shitty, and the H-scenes are hit-or-miss. But I can't make myself stop something once I start it, especially after I invested so much time in the first playthrough.

Going to start GA:EL finally now that I'm down to 1 active VN again. Then once I finish something again I'm going back to my old plan of replaying Born Freaks! now that I actually have more Japanese knowledge, couldn't understand shit the first time I played it years ago.

Still playing Shirotsume Souwa, very slowly since I've been a bit busy lately.

I got the Acta est Fabula 3.30GB version from anime sharing, but I get black screen and errors when playing the game (I can hear the sound and see text but not any CG).

These releases are so messed up. I'm not sure, but do I need another version of DI to be able to play Acta est Fabula, and if I do, which version?
Or is there a standalone full release of Acta est Fabula?

I played Gyakushuu 4 after one anon suggested it in a previous thread. It certainly was powerful, given what happens to the MC and the things he does afterwards. Still, I have to say that I found Frey to be utterly uninteresting. Same with Ivel (?) and Turk. The only one I found interesting was Myria, I skipped many scenes that didn't involve her. Do I have strange tastes, or do the more interesting characters get the least scenes?

-I was quite impressed with Ritton having a scene. I admit I kinda expected to see one after he showed that blushing, excited face. I must admit I find it nice when an otherwise straight eroge has shota scenes.

3 was pretty good, and the reason why I had my eyes on 4. I didn't make it too far in 4 before I put it down, but from what I played it seems like 4 was shaping up to be better. The prologue was surprisingly eventful and engaging. 3 is still worth a go if you like tentacles and I thought Gyariko was pretty great.

1 feels really dated and short and not really worth it, 2 was also pretty bad. I wouldn't bother unless you're desperate for tentacle games in which the protagonist is the one who uses the tentacles, since those are in surprisingly short supply

I think that a good character can add appeal even to fetishes one doesn't enjoy. I liked Myria's tentacle scenes in 4, even though I generally stay away from tentacles, and I'm sure Gyariko will be worth it, given what I saw of her in 4.

Not to mention just the writing in general reads poorly, I would rather the script have been written originally in English, otherwise give me the option to play in Japanese.

so far at ch4 of VBA. but have to say it's been pretty damn enjoyable so far to me atleast. it pretty much improvement in almost all aspects, maybe small nitpick could go to gameplay, but considering the style changes they are kinda understandable. VBA has some nice action, pretty funny comedy at times, plot is decent too not masterpiece but enjoyable to follow nevertheless of the cliches, characers are nice too, gameplay is fun and h-scenes are hot, what more do you need from a title. sure there are places it could be better, but as it is now its pretty damn good imo, wish I had more time at my hands

I don't really get the Tsumugi-Sora epilogue either, I know it means something along the lines of "The story continues in 2034" or something, but it just seems a bit retarded.

Finished YU-NO. It was a good read but I was too hyped for my own good. The little nuances and flaws ended up annoying me too much, while the cool shit not surprising me enough. It may have been a little too un-emotional for me too, and I didn't grow to like the characters as much as with other VNs, which ended up hurting the enjoyment.

A good read regardless, and the time travellan gameplay section was interesting.

And uh... the epilogue was a little too long to be an epilogue. It was basically the actual storyline. Japan should learn to use the terms correctly.

Are there any other good bullying VNs? I've read SubaHibi, Itakano, and Yume Miru Kusuri already, considered reading Tsui no Sora but I've been told most of the relevant scenes are the same as SubaHibi's so I wound up not bothering. Also the forced full-screen annoyed me.

Specifically anything where a heroine is forced to strip or otherwise humiliated in front of others. Consensual exhibitionism does not count, and I'm not really interested in full-on rape either, though if it eventually leads into rape then that's not so bad, I can just enjoy the first part and ignore the rape.

And yeah, I know vndb has a bullying tag, but it's not particularly useful considering it doesn't differentiate between male or female bullying targets (I don't care much to see a guy being bullied) or on the amount/nature of the content. Symphonic Rain is listed there, for example, and there wasn't really anything in there of that nature that I could get off to.

Just finished playing Kimi no Nagori wa Shizuka ni Yurete. I hadn't originally planned on playing it because I was so put off by Mayuri's route in Flyable Heart. After playing through some routes in Flyable CandyHeart though, I decided to give it a try.

I was very pleasantly surprised. It had much better characterization and pacing compared to her original route, as well as a satisfying end. It felt a bit over dramatic at times, but not too bad. Overall I quite enjoyed it.

One thing I like about Dies Irae is that all the characters get a lot of good development in every routes, Kei and Rea developed really well in Marie's route for example.

I would like to see more confirmation than that one image. 3 months after EX came out Key published a post on their dev blog saying it sold over 100k, yet it's been 4 months since Rewrite and there is nothing on their blog (even though they are still making posts about Rewrite) or anywhere else other than that image.

Clannad and LB got fandiscs as well. I don't think the amount of time between when the game came out and the fandisc is planned to come out has much to do with relative sales. When they were working on Kudo Wafter they were also working on Rewrite, if they aren't working on anything else major at the moment it could explain why they've announced one so fast.

Finished Exodus Guilty vol.1

It became pretty damn obvious half way threw who Phantom was and splitting Exodus Guilty into 3 parts is fucking stupid.

Imagine taking Yu-no and making a volume for each route. Not to mention all the cool features that Kenno does so well are removed. I want my 18+ version ;_;

Though that's because the first 2 versions of the game only had Kasumi and Marie's routes.
The last part is really awesome though.

So for those who finished it, what is your favorite route in Dies Irae?

I would say overall Rea's route is my favorite but I also really enjoyed the fast paced action of Kei's route.
Marie's route suffer from repeating itself too much in the middle part but the final is pretty amazing too.
Kasumi's route is just a glorified bad end in retrospect, nothing much happen in it so it wasn't very interesting.

And thank god Rea's route has that after story drama CD I had to download, because otherwise the end is incredibly bittersweet, instead of just vague, yet happy.
My main complain on her route was that she didn't feel much like a heroine but a device to explore more the plot. But the last battle was so incredibly over the top I kind of forgot.

I'm in the mean time, waiting for this to come out so I can justify having pirated the PC version 3 years ago. The game is absolutely excellent, by the way, basically lunacy the game. As anybody who's played eroge know, often there's a boundary in which you stop playing an eroge and start experiencing it with the protagonist as a medium. Since Sayonara wo Oshiete's protagonist is madness incarnate, I suppose "getting into" or "getting into the role of the protagonist" is what makes the experience of the game outrageously exceptional. For people who have interest in denpa and grimdark stuff, it's a must play. For people who love those, it's a matter of life and death that you play this what are you doing with your time right now go and download it and play it immediately.
