She's a god aswell, no? MoF has some other gods asewll, and, well, many of the series' games have some god meddling behind the scenes, no?

The fact is, in Japan the term "god" is not as strong as it is in western countries. Given the fact that Gensoukyo (or Gensokyo, however you want it to be spelled) has been separated from Japan, the religious aspects are same as the ones in Japan.

In short, there are gods for practically everything in different religions - youkai are creatures based on beliefs of people. Get the hang of it now, anon?
