I tend to take pretty good care of my stuff and hold on to some things even if they're not really functional anymore so long as I think I can get them back in working condition.

Besides, how could I be mean to something that's sole purpose would be to make my life easier and make me happy.

Not saying I probably wouldn't uh...tinker with her configurations a bit. I like customizing my stuff. Aftermarket casings, custom software, possibly integrated weaponry.

If it was something shinki-sized/pocket sized, It'd probably get treated more like a useful pet.

I take very good care of what few tools for my enjoyment I own, I don't know what kind of spoiled brats you guys are to discard things whenever you get bored of them / break them from misuse.

It goes without saying that I'd see it as nothing more than a sexually attractive machine, but that wouldn't stop me from being hopelessly fascinated by its working. Well I dont know how much /jp/ knows about daily Android maintenance. There are several hard to reach cavities that need regular lubrication and cleaning. Some androids are geared for vocals and their esophaguses need extra care.

Considering it's going to be 15-20 years in the least until we see commercially available robots in every home, I'm probably never getting one. Planning to move back to my old family home when my parents grow too old to run it themselves, which is small enough as it is for three people and pets. At the very most I'll be getting a dog.

But seeing as how I like the idea of robots as part of the family, turn on the Black Hawk Down theme or something and let's have a good cry.
