We did it guys.
We finally did it.
You are literally posting in /jp/ - 2D/Random Culture.
How does it feel to be a winner?

>> No.7902943

But the header says
>/jp/ - Otaku Culture

>> No.7902939

what?

>How does it feel to be a winner?
I feel like Charlie Sheen.

I scrolled up to the top of the page.

I'm an idiot.

We've had worse.

Don't worry, it will be alright by next morning.

Understatement of the century.

We've had much, much more ridiculously worse than this.

And, after saying that, the criteria for deletion seem completely arbitrary.

Which is stupid.

Shut up, this thread was off-topic and bad.

>> No.7902967,3 [INTERNAL]

>>7902967,2
The issue is that this isn't a shit thread, the issue is there were a whole lot of other off-topic threads that had been obviously passed over, which makes the criteria arbitrary rather than just harsh.

Well, the janitor burned them all now, so it's a moot point.

/jp/ was particularly bad today, I haven't seen the page count so low in a while. Would it kill the shitposters to limit it to a few threads?

>> No.7902967,5 [INTERNAL]

>>7902967,4
That doesn't mean shit. If the janitor visited /jp/ half as often it wouldn't become twice as shitty. The page count being low just means that the shit threads accmuluated (and /jp/ didn't bump the threads with redeeming value) before going on a rampage.

If he starts visiting /jp/ too much and constantly deletes shit threads on sight, it gets even worse when he has to leave.

>> No.7902967,8 [INTERNAL]

>>7902967,7
Unless we are getting raided or there are, say, more than three or four full pages of shit, it really should not matter if the janitor leaves for a few days.

Except /jp/ has gotten lazy and forgotten how to report and bump threads.

>> No.7902967,9 [INTERNAL]

Being a 4chan janitor really is like being a janitor in real life. If you do your job right a hundred times nobody cares, but you do something people don't like one time and everybody gets up in arms because the toilets are backed up.

>> No.7902967,10 [INTERNAL]

>>7902967,9
Bad analogy. Janitors are paid for a service with obvious expectations and don't think they own the building they clean. This janitor is some college kid with delusions of grandeur trying to mold /jp/ into whatever he feels like seeing. I'm just glad school started so the kids like the janitor are busy and not wrecking /jp/. Deleting one on-topic thread which would have good discussion overshadows deleting hundreds of off-topic threads which will naturally expire.

Nobody whose thoughts are worth reading comes to /jp/ since they want someone to decide what they're allowed to read. There is obvious stuff and other stuff which is in the gray and should be left to expire or change into a good topic.
