I'm assuming there's no blood involved, and the onset is too fast for it to be any serious renal pathology that I can think of, so I'd say wait a good few hours (or until tomorrow) then go see someone if it's still happening.

Does it hurt more if you move your legs? I had a problem with my testicles when I was younger. It was a sharp and sudden pain, but when I kept my legs from moving it started to stop. Went to the doctor and it had to do with some shit that was supposed to be fixed by a surgery, but I actually never did it. Luckily, I never felt it since them.
