I used to cut it myself(just shaved it bald or got a buzz cut), but early this year(I think? my perception of time is pretty fuzzy) I decided to grow my hair out. I wanted to do it for years, but didn't because of family pressure. Since I don't care about that anymore, I was finally able to do it, and I'm quite satisfied with the results so far.

Couple of months ago after it was in my eyes pretty much constantly.

I was already out so I figured I'd get it cut and went to the nearest place which happened to be a barbershop for black people. I started to walk off but the owner practically dragged me in and was all excited to get a customer. Being the only white person in there sucked and after telling him "just cut it to just above my eyebrows" he decided to ignore me and proceeded to cut everything down to an inch or less. They made jokes about how long it was so I couldn't speak up and tell him to stop cutting it so short.

Gave him a shit tip and bolted out of there. I feel naked with such short hair, like a security blanket taken from me.

Avoid babershops, at least the sluts at salons will listen to you and make fun of you after you leave.
