I don't come here often /jp/ however I hear you guys are the ones to contact with regards to VN's
I just recently came across Katawa Shoujou and I love it however only the demo is out currently.
Do you guys know if it is still being worked on or is it dead?

As for KS, I think asking in /a/ would be more appropriate.
/jp/ is for japanese VNs (and sometimes their translations), it's not for OELVNs (anything made outside of japan, in english; a strange new breed would be something made in japan targetting the english market (OVERDRIVE is now working on one such title). I'd figure the second case would still be /jp/'s territory, but the first won't be).

they have a development blog, which was being regularly updated up until this year. around january they announced that they would be finishing up the game sometime this year, which was the first and last time they gave anything close to a release date. they haven't made status updates as often as they used to since, but earlier in the summer they posted that a few more girl's routes were either completed or nearing completion. i would still bet that they have it out sometime this year, even if that means december.

Really? I personally believe that if they release it, they'll lose all relevancy in the community (after the two week period where everyone plays it and posts the sex scenes on /a/ and /v/, of course). They're probably going to try to milk this as long as humanly possible.

i think they have more to gain by releasing it. after that demo came out, it was a really popular topic on a lot of boards for a pretty decent amount of time. once it comes out, /a/, /v/, /jp/, and even random boards like /g/ and /tg/ will probably shitstorm over it for a few weeks. once that's gone, i still think there'll be threads about it for a long time, just like one will pop up for yume miru kusuri and saya no uta every now and then. it'll be recommended to just about everyone asking for an intro to VNs - not that the demo isn't anyway, i guess.
