Why Koishi is nearly always shown as insane???

Is it just because of German Koishi videos?

In canon she has ability to remove herself from subconscious of living things and being invisible and acts like any other mentally normal youkai.

Because she can't think with the concious part of her mind, thus only acting on a whim, which might make her actions seem illogical/irritating.

And she doesn't remove herself from the subconcious of others, she moves herself into the subconcious part of the mind that causes people to disregard certain, insignificant things of their surroundings (e.g. little stones lying around on a road)

Quite honestly, I don't think that's normal, even for youkai standards. If a youkai gets hungry they eat a human. But going as far as playing around with the corpse and hanging it out at one's entrance? It might not seem too bad if you consider that humans did this throughout history to scare their enemies away, but this is Gensokyo after all.

I wouldn't really call her insane though. She's not really right in the head, but not outright insane.

I have beaten her with Reimu/Yukari and read all the other dialogues.

I'm rather wondering if you have.

Unless you're implying that she really is nuts because she wants to

1. kill Marisa
2. hang her corpse for everyone to see.
3. pillage peaceful human villages
4. start a "love-stricken massacre"

Okay, but according to dialogues Reimu murdered Sakuya and Yuyuko ate the whole IN cast.

They're the only way to find out a characters personality in the games unless there are some elaborate extra printworks on them.

Until we get that for Koishi, I have no reason to think of her otherwise

When I said

I meant by that that you would understand why dialogues can't be taken serious if you would have played some games and read some of the dialogues

I got excited and thought this was a gameplay thread.

It's unfortunate that "Touhou discussion" means "secondary nonsense" while you have to specify "Touhou gameplay discussion" when talking about the games.
