Marisa won't become a youkai. When Reimu becomes too powerful, and replaces Yukari as steward of the Great Boundary, Marisa will take her place as Shrine Maiden. Some thousand years later, when the name "Hakurei" is long forgotten, the last maiden of the Kirisame Shrine will take Reimu's place, and the cycle will continue.
