How often do the different Touhou characters fly versus walk? Depiction of whether they wear shoes, just socks, or are barefoot varies between different sources, though they seem to wear just socks more in the danmaku games.

One thing that's rarely questioned is how long the characters can fly, if there's even a limit. Realistically winged characters ought to naturally need to come down, but what if it's powered by mana which they have a great pool of? In the danmaku games the characters can fly indefinitely but in fighting games it's limited. And even if it's limited for most characters, would Reimu still be able to float indefinitely anyways due to her ability?

This started out as a blatant excuse for a feet/socks thread, but hey, now that I think about it, it's something to ponder about!

It's danmaku shooting game, they all fly all the time that we see them.
The rest is purely speculation.

In IaMP they don't really fly, just high jump and dash; just gameplay mechanics really.

The fighting games are noncanon. You can tell by the way some characters are drawn with breasts.
