Hey /jp/ I'm a newcomer with a question. I've mulled over getting a dog for about a year now. I've waited so long because I didn't feel as though I could care for it properly with my current job. Fast forward a year, and I'm working a new job and really think it's time I got a dog.

Where does /jp/ suggest I look for a dog? A shelter? A pet store? and also what are some good breeds that are medium to large size and could make due with living in a smallish apartment?
