I'm good enough just getting the figma of meguka. Yeah, the pvc does look very nice, but, Madoka herself isn't all that captivating a character to me.. the only likable thing she did at all was to not (completely) fuck up her wish at the end, and that's.. kind of it.

I don't even like her enough to get her nendoroid, although, I will be getting several of the other puella magi nendos, as well as all of the figma.

Lastly I'm expecting that down the line, we'll get some really impressive statues, such as action poses/scenes with mami/homu/kyouko, maybe some of the witches etc (such as witch-form Sayaka).

I've never bought an unassembled fig before. Is it hard to paint and assemble? Back in middle school I used to build model cars using plastic cement and acrylic paint, and there were like 100+ small parts. Is assembling a fig equally as difficult? I hear you have to sand them and such.

The assembly is not as many pieces as that, but it's a bit less friendly since there's a lot of cleanup you have to do of the pieces, you need to drill, pin, and fill the gaps with putty, and typically there's no instructions besides a picture of the final product.

If you're going to get a dremel to drill, make sure you get something that will work with the dremel keyless chuck attachment so that you can hold tiny drill bits. I got a "WEN Rotary tool" which is much cheaper than a Dremel brand, but it doesn't come with or fit a chuck. I managed to get it to work okay by just wrapping some tape around the drill bit and shoving it in the tool, but I wouldn't really recommend that...
I was going to go cheap and get one of those manual "pin vise" drills, but the only one I found was almost the same price as the rotary tool i got.

Got a Snow Miku 2011 today, but for some reason, can barely make stand still with her stand. It almost looks like the peg and the hole in the back are way too short (I don't even get how Mikatan could make her "jump" pic related).

Still, that peg is atrocious, since there is nothing you can do (although I might be clueless here): I don't think drilling in the hole would do any good considering BOTH peg and hole are short (they match, but due to its length, it doesn't really hold the nendo that well: moving the head is hazardous even if you hold her body).

Ahh, I've got one of those coming in the mail. Cirno's never been one of my favorites actually, but, I'm completely obligated to get one anyway since I intend on maintaining a complete collection of all the Touhou figma/nendoroids.

I just wonder how far they'll go with these.. for example I really, really want to see Reisen and Okuu nendoroid/figma someday, I just hope that GSC/MF don't conk out on the line after doing 10 or so chars... They'll need to do at least 20-30+ to satisfy most fans in my opinion.

Well in that case I'm glad I bothered to get those little Touhou petit sets then as well as the regular ones. Because if they indeed did stop now, we'd never have full-size nendoroid Patchouli (or Alice or Suika or Aya for that matter). I think they're probably at an impasse on whether or not to continue, since they've now done most of the classic/obligatory ones between the nendo/figma lines, yet, they still have a lot more mega-popular ones to go. So maybe they're considering stopping here, because if they didn't; it'd be a never-ending hole for production slots for many years as people expect them to do 20-30-50+ Touhous. A full collection of those would be an incredible sight though to say the least.

I think they should at the very least just do some more petit sets. For example, if they were more popular of char,s the three fairies would have been perfect for the petit line since the sets come in 3s.
