I heard that as well, I liked it as it is the case with most of his Touhou arranges. My favourite so far is still China Gal on Toho Eurobeat 1 but both tracks he sang on for Toho Eurobeat 3 were good.

I still don't get the big deal about TEB vs. TEF... is TEB so much better to you guys because Stebbins sings in something closer to English and there's more than one label? I mean, not to knock them, but... historically I've found the Toho Euro Flash series to be more satisfying.

I'm starting, confessedly, to warm up to this Stebbins guy. He struck me as unprofessional and "LOL I R IN FANDUM" in the first album, but since then he's really flourished. He's no DJ Command, but he can still compose, write (in English), and sing. I have high hopes for TEB 4, not just for Stebbins but for the entire album.

Unfortunately I have no idea how many releases he has/what label he is signed to/how often he puts out new tracks but every time I hear something new from him I am more than satisfied with the result. I'd say popularity determines whether something is uploaded at all or not. There are a lot of releases which never get uploaded to share/perfect dark, and you would have to wait for someone to buy and rip it themselves. The popular stuff will almost certainly be uploaded, it's just a question of waiting, but you can often have to have wait a long, long time. There was a time when some release just didn't exist on the internet, but they do know, and after looking for them for a couple of years I have downloaded them. So yeah, be patient, the stuff you want will be up at some point.

REVIEW TIME!

1) Clockwork Love Clock (あき with DJ Command)
...it feels like sacrelige, but it sounds like typical DJ Command fare. Typical synth brass blasting through our ears, typical stellar singing from the vocalist, with an amazing breakdown before the last chorus. For Eurobeat in general it's so GREAT, but for Command... just above typical. A+ (Eurobeat standard) B (Command standard)

2) Dreamin' Girl (Yassie with ELEMENTAS)
ELEMENTAS, head of A-One records, has really stepped up his game in terms of synth brass. Vocalist sounds a little dry, but not emotionless. Solid, well-made and altogether worthy of many listens. B

3) Break Into the Dark (あにろく！ with Sugano)
Does Sugano feel like he has a quota to meet with these guitar-driven tracks with Kizuna Records? A decent remix of Yukari's theme, but it doesn't break any new ground in terms of production. C+

4) Adequate ("Odyssey" [T. Stebbins] from Odyssey Music)
Something sounds mixed oddly, like the mastering let it distort. Minor audio quality issue aside, synth brass riff is good, production is okay, vocals... sadly he sounds off enough to where autotune doesn't seem to help him, in the verses. Actually, the verses themselves seem added-on at the last minute, it'd be interesting to see if this was the first version Stebbins submitted or not. Chorus BLASTS back to make up for the verses, so... it's a good song with some bad points. It' be a B without problems, but for now... B-

5) Bloody Night (Shihori with IOSYS)
Minus 2/3 of a letter grade for Shihori. She's obnoxious to me. Past that... HOLY BALLS IOSYS CAN MAKE EUROBEAT. Very Sinclairestyle-like synth work and tight/hard basses make for bucket-cumming production. Just get a stronger vocalist next time. A-

6) Anything for You ( (V)・∀・(V) with Samfree)
Cute, solid production with decent vocals. Samfree has always been consistent with these songs, and it sounds like he respects that his Vocaloid work and his Touhou work are separate. (V)・∀・(V) doesn't sound her best, but that doesn't stop the song from bein' good. A

7) Final Breath (Odyssey & The DNA Team of Odyssey Music)
Another sound quality issue becomes a mere pittance in contrast to the strong soundworlds and Stebbins' solid vocal fare. Where Adequate was okay, Final Breath stands all the stronger and is a true contender with the rest of the album. My only complaint— besides the mastering— is that for whatever reason, Stebbins' production work just doesn't sound professional. The composition is stellar, the vocal work great, but... it still sounds very amateur. I really do want to give this song an A+. But for now it has to settle with a hardly-lesser A.

8) Wish Upon the Sky (Nagisa with Sugano)
Good intro (though I'm a tad tired of guitars with Sugano), nice slower riff... and then the vocalist. Nagisa sounds chirpy and syrupy beyond her welcome for some reason... she REALLY rubs me the wrong way on this song. I mean, it's not the fact that she doesn't always hit her notes (though she does miss a couple)... there's just... SOMETHING that's got me bristling. The production is good (if stale), the composition is well done, but... I just can't give it more than a C- .

9) Leave My Key (3L with ELEMENTAS)
Borrows HEAVILY, to my ears, from Faithful Heart (from TEB1), with a drop of "Technopolis" from Yellow Magic Orchestra. Once it gets past some unorginal bits, 3L showcases her solid vocal work across this slower ditty. Leave My Key is a bit like a new guest at a dinner party— it may make a faux pas by mimicing another guest, but for the most part it's a welcome addition to the table. A-

OVERALL: Honestly, what a great album. With, what, one or two hiccups (surprisingly and sadly, BOTH by Sugano/Kizuna), this entire album is absolutely fantastic. DJ Command's vocalists are in great shape, Samfree is still in strong form, and even Stebbins' only major hangup is the mastering/distortion. It's not as consistently awesome as TEF2, and doesn't shine as often, but when it does, it's far brighter.

Well it depends really. Dubstep in itself isn't always "WUBWUBWUBWUB". Smooth dubstep does exist, so it's not always bad. But if you dislike that too, then I guess that's just your preference.

Thankfully, foo_chacon fixes a lot of the tags, but the stuff that's been taken from Chinese sites needs to converted to Chinese and then into Japanese to appear correctly.

In my music folder there is one folder for Touhou arrangess (game BGM is included here) and one for Doujin Music. Every circle gets their folder so when I want to listen to one circle I just click their folder on the album tree.

Not really tagging now, but this is how my Music folder in events are organized. Albums in [LISTEN] are stuff I need to listen to. If I like it, I place it in the main music folder then rename it with the format 2011.08.13 (C80)[Circle][Catalog Number] Album Name, like in the picture. If anyone has a better way of organizing it, I would like to know.

For circles similar to Iron Attack, see Crow'sclaw, Icarus'Cry, South of Heaven.

All of these circles typically put out some nice groovalicious rock instrumentals. South of Heaven does some vocal stuff too, but it's rarer for them to do it than instrumental stuff only.
