i am confused, which format is preferrable for me to encode to? old foobar i usually use. but new foobar sdk required to open ape files. the exact same lame.exe file has been given to both foobars, and yet the settings are different? people speak out against 320k, but v0 is only 245k? i am not trying to start debate, 1 vs the other, just confused as to why they are excluded from each other, in different version, with same encoder, and which is preferable?

Personally, I prefer V0 since it's a smaller file size and the quality isn't so much below 320kbps that it bothers me/can be heard on my shitty headphones.

I'd say if you want higher quality audio, go for 320kbps, if you want a smaller file size (for portable players or whatever reason) then go for V0.

There's probably much more to it, and there's graph which explain the difference more clearly but I can't be arsed to go into it.

If you can hear the difference between V0 and 320K, go ahead and do it in 320K.
And if you absolutely need it in lossless, flac is the way to go. You can set the level higher than 5 if you want since I believe most computer now can play flac at its max level.

No, it's a variable bitrate. 320kbps is 320kbps always, while a variable rate sort of saves bits where they are not needed so the file size is obviously smaller. Ask google for details, and rip in V0 anyway if you're going for mp3.

Many many thanks to everyone for the links/shares (The JCORE uploaders especially).

It's extremely hard to get hold of this stuff even through legitimate sources so your sharing is very much appreciated. (The only problem is I have to buy 2 1 TB drives (backup) every comiket!)

Not going to request or ask for it but I am wondering if anyone shared the new sharpnel release. I suppose I can do some looking of my own regarding that.

I know it is the upload thread, but I have been somewhat interested in a few things since the beginning, and considering how some things aren't uploaded yet I figured I might as well carry through with my plans now, rather than later.

Given, importing the thing won't result in an insane over price relative to the original price, and mug my wallet.
And given the shipping is good, as in, guarantees that it will arrive as agreed upon etc.

I really don't know what I think about Paletweb's shipping. $8 for shipping, and, no insurance. Is that really, fine? The alternative is $15 witht he insurance being the only difference. $15 is already quite expensive, and Paletweb lacks som very desired limited editions either way, and is notably more expensive than the prices of say, Toranoana, but perhaps that can't be helped given some kind of factor.

Also the combined shipping total depends on the net weight, not the amount of items so buying a few items usually works out as having cheaper shipping overall.

Had a listen to their album and the best way to describe them would probably be Forest306 with piano instead of acoustic guitar. Very mellow and relaxing, and I'll certainly be looking out for them in future.

/jp/ is a blue board, and for good reasons. The board isn't about posting blatantlly erotic dumps of things and fap on it right there on the board.
The board still covers its good share of erotic topics, but as a blue board, we have a chance to be, well you know, "mature" about it (disregarding how it is a board for manchildren).
That is, "mature" in such a way that we can have threads about eroge, and discuss the content, be it the fetishes or actually the events/story that may exist as well.

Letting a spoilered NSW cover on an erotic upload thaat is otherwise related, is no "going easy" on the rules. It borderlines on denying how eroge and ero doujinshi are /jp/ related.
Its all fine that the janitor is trying, thumbs up for that cause there are lots of cleaning up to be done. And its not really that big of a deal, the thumbnails are saved in the archive and the links/posts remains. I just don't really see why the images are removed in the first place.
