Let's talk about the game instead.

I've been touching up on the demo in the past few days in anticipation, understanding the scoring mechanics.

I didn't know how to feel when I found out that it's generally a better idea to keep your trance mode for the midboss/boss, intentionally fail a spellcard and sit on top of them so you can add a shitload of points to the multiplier.

It's no fair that the grazing system has been pushed aside in favor for spirit collection. Though it's still technically there, it just becomes pointless, comparing to the other games where it was an absolute must to win.

Which suites me fine, because I have a fairly aggressive play style and love being on the top half of the screen.

The shot types seem fairly balanced this time around too, though I don't like how Sanae handles at all. Youmu is pretty damn fun though.

Expect it to be similar to the other extra stage bosses. Memorisation, circular non-spell attacks, and a couple of lengthy boss invincibility cards. I'm sure it'll still be themed in spirit to the previous games.
