Faces are adjustable with several sets of sliders, though I had difficulty making something that wasn't hideous and ended up sticking with one of the defaults.

Basically plain brown clothes, rather than underwear. Some race/class combinations actually have more skin covered when "naked".

I'm not sure about cities, but I have kited a mob all the way over a zone and into an npc campground. I'm not up to areas where all monsters are aggro so I'm not sure if trains are possible.

Non-quest items drop on the ground, and you can only loot other people's loot after a period of a minute or so.

Haven't had a chance to try either yet, but there are six different types of crafting according to my character sheet.

So far it's just "this is level 5 armour" etc., but apparently there's an option to reskin armour as any lower-level one. Possibly other customisation but I'm not sure.

Everything I have seen appears to chase you around forever. I do not know whether they will follow you into a town though.

You can have varied armor, but I'm not sure if it effects the armors appearance. For instance, a guy in one of the other threads said removing his leg armor didn't remove it from his sprites. I don't know if this is what you're asking about though.

I just went to /v/ to see if there's a TERA thread, and I couldn't dig past the first page as literally every thread I saw contained unbearable amount of shitposts. If you don't want to see the MMO threads, one of the options and a very viable one is to hide them. Another is you could link to /v/'s TERA thread if you can survive in /v/ long enough to find it. I don't often play MMO games with /jp/ (the last one I played was WoT), but you know what? Even though WoT wasn't /jp/ related, it was really nice to be able to play with them rather than your average gamer or god forbid, /v/ anons and the likes.

Why does this bother you when there are far worse threads on /jp/ which you should channel the effort into in order to get rid of them? Why don't you spend the effort correcting shitposters on /jp/? I think you're pointing your hatred at the wrong thread.

Yeah, they might want to make it a little harder or something. There was a dungeon quest in the "darkness" part of the first island that said it'd take 5 people, but I solo'd the boss with the NPC helper and didn't even have to use a potion or anything. Then again, if it's only like this for leveling I could care less. Leveling is already tedious enough as is, no need to make it take half my life.

I've just gotten to the first area I can craft in, and from what I can tell the crafting is fairly standard fare. Buy recipes from a vendor to learn how to make stuff. Making stuff uses materials and ups your skill level, and most recipes require minimum skill levels.

I don't yet know whether any higher-level recipes need ingredients from other trades.

What is nice at least is that you don't have to pick from a list, you can do all six crafting skills at once.

On a related note, there are three node-gathering skills, for herbs, rocks and some kind of magic crystals.

This is true... for the first 10 levels when the game designers intended it to be that way. Past level 15, mobs start using sprint skills, wide-arc attacks that will hit you even while your in a dead sprint away. You have to have a tank hold agro on elite monsters or it will randomly one shot your healers/DPS.

Our guild a level 20 BAM (Big Ass Monster), and it felt like playing a console RPG boss fight in real time. Our healer had to take turns reviving fallen squishies, while the tank focused on kiting the boss away from our DPS. It was actually rather difficult, but worth the time for the drops (some green gear with mana regen bonuses on it).

I would have rolled a human I blame D&D for that human habit, but their racial skills are almost all PvP related, and that 3 min 20% speed boost on the Elin was to good to pass up, as well as the +50% swim speed too.

The hands are oversized on purpose, you can tell with the Elin as well. The hands are so large because it would be difficult to animate fingers if they were regularly proportioned. Thats why when animators moved from fixed hand models, to jointed hand models. The size increased to make animation possible.

It's not about anatomy at that point. the models are purposeful exaggerated, I think it looks unique.

I do(very amateur) 3d animation of my own for fun and I see no reason to make hands beyond normal size unless the above is what you mean. At the very least, not 2-3 times normal size.

I'm surprised to hear you can look at them like that. I really don't know how that can look anything but scary except in a sexual deviance sort of way. Her hands literally cover half of her head.

But I get your overall point. I wouldn't be surprised if they made it that way on purpose for technical reasons, but given that the models(especially females) are a big part of why the game appeals to most people, it wasn't expected.

Just wanted to point something out for you noobs. health potions come from quests, and they have a really really rare drop chance. There is only 1 standard health potion, meaning you dont get level 10, then 20, 30, 40 potions because they heal a set percentage of your health, rather than a set number. As such, health potions will eventually be going for 100K or more. So dont waste them. Buy them up on the auction house when you see them going for less than 80k and resell them later.

The only way to change that (that is reasonably easy) is to switch windows to japanese using vistalizator and then using a proxy for the log in process.
