Just finished Hanachirasu. It was surprisingly good! I enjoy knowing where did the concepts used in a battle were from so I wasnt bored by the explanations at all.

I'm playing Baldr Sky Dive1 vehemently now that more combat has been introduced. On the final chapter of Rain's route, thus taking a hiatus from sleep until this is over.

Looking back Rebecca's true ending was pretty great, it was basically a prototype of Muramasa's Akki ending, complete with grown-up teenage heroine fighting against the ex-hero turned antagonist.

I thought the werewolves routes were better than the mechanical dolls routes, Anna's route is average main heroine stuff and Lunaria's scenario is just weird. So yeah, it does pick up in a sense because you explore the setting rather than just be introduced to it, but the fights tend to remain verbose.

Yes, Rinowahl's route is the best route of the game, and her chara is awesome. If every other route woulda been so great it'd have been the best eroge this year in my opinion, but with route's like Nina's and the glasses girl's in the equation it's just a solid game which is still worth to play I thought. I quite liked the overarching setting of the game.

Um, you can't go after her first. You have to do Gisele's and the Glasses girl's first, then you can access Rinowahl's and Nina's, and ultimately can choose between Elegano and Flare's. Whatever order you do everything, it's recommended to leave Flare's route last.

Well, when that popularity poll was going on, most of the time Rino-Reno was leading it, Elegano only took the lead in the end (I only checked it once in a few days so it could have been chance too). Personally I didn't like Elegano that much, though I admit her background is pretty interesting, and the "getting along with your heroine" part in her route was a lot better executed than in most of the other routes.
Personality-wise, I'd rank her after Rino, Flare and few support charas.

I just finished Sharin no Kuni and I must say it was a lot better than I expected, I actually started to hate the old man at some points in the game and the heroines were a lot better than average. Currently downloading the fandisk.

Kanae's route actually has some ties with the final route plot-wise so it's better to do them one after the other

So, after Kyou's terrible, terrible route, I finished (Misae's and) Tomoyo's route.

God, no wonder they made an entire game for her later. She's easily the best girl. Before this I thought Clannad was fairly underwhelming even if there were some nice routes, but this was great.

Really? I thought the motivations, desires and the separation were really well built up, and they went their ways while still caring for each other very much. The rest was pretty much letting time do it's thing until Tomoyo did what she wanted to do from the beginning and she made the choice. After the choice there was really not much more to develop at all. I'm completely happy it ended where it did, with that last scene with the brother.
