Finally finished it not long ago, it was good if a little uneven.
Well Noel's route was by far the best route in the game, Anna's was good if a little conventional, Lunaria is an awesome character but her route was honestly subpar and Rebecca's had a good climax but her character sucks.

All in all, it needed far more Perla.

The foreign market is very small and the licensing fees for a Nitro+ game would probably be prohibitive.

Given the choice, I'd generally prefer a fan translation anyway. Sure, it might not be professional quality, and it might be slow as shit, but at least you know they're doing it for love of the work and not for money. Which leads to at least TRYING to do the best job possible, and not making bullshit concessions for the sake of mass appeal or avoiding controversy. Fuck censorship.

I doubt things are ever gonna change because the visual novel format has simply become so obsolete to the majority's eyes.

I remember how in a news rag over here there was a small review of some Trauma Center game and it described how the cutscenes were done with "weird Japanese storytelling style that uses still images and text".
Complete antithesis of the current blockbuster style, which is ironic considering that to those are used to the format the best dramatic eroges are incredible assault to the senses.
