Umineko could have been good. It was not doomed for failure, in fact, I felt like pre EP6, things were only looking up.

The problem was Ryukishi made Shannon an integral part of the story, and she is oh so fucking dull, we only get some real substance to her in 6 and 7, which is a little late in the goddamn story. Same problem with Yasu. The fact that meta utterly took over the story in Chiru ended up being a bane rather than boon, Featherine is a revolting character in all the wrong ways, characters like Jessica, Gohda, Gaap, etc. are fairly irrelevant, and to top it all off, the ending is cheesy as fuck, an amnesia end, really? I wasn't aware this was a morning soap opera.

I hope he understands how badly he fucked up the story.

The pictures change also when you sigh in or out and when you turn the ps3 on or off.

It really is, the first ep is (an hour or so in) amazing, it nailed the suspense and everything perfectly, down to the arguing and locked room-an

The second and third introduce MAGIKBATTLES, which are sometimes 'cool' when the atmosphere is done right

I think 4th introduces Eva beatrice, who is shit, so eh

5th and 6 has erika, shes a fun bitch.

I thought 7 was okay, That doll in VIP room but most people disagree

There are ofcourse many slow times in any ep but they're mostly there just to make the better times better.

I think a lot of people turned on Umineko once episode 8 came out because they didn't like the answer, nor did they like the ending. I don't really like it either, but I still like Umineko as a series. I think too many people judge entire series based only on how they ended...
