Not OP, but the reason why I don't own a dakimakura is because I still live with my family and they give me enough crap over my figures as it is. I can only imagine how they would react to me owning a bodypillow with a half naked 2D girl on it. If they weren't so fucking invasive/if I lived on my own/both I'd be cuddling with my waifu dakimakura every night, but for now a plain bodypillow and my imagination will do.

They do like to barge into my room on occasion so they can look through my stuff because they "can't find something". For some reason, if something goes missing they think I have it hidden somewhere in my room. My mother did this the first few times I got something in the mail out of pure curiosity. Could always be worse, I know this one guy who's mother is a real hardass for no real reason. Whenever he gets something in the mail he has to pay her the same amount the package cost him, so he essentially pays for everything TWICE. He eventually found a way to sneak his stuff into his room unnoticed, but damn, I'd hate to put up with bullshit like that.

When I lived with my parents I had my favorite figs lined up on my speakers and atop my computer, which was in the study they all used. When my mother ribbed me about a more lewd one I pointed to her shelf of "romance" novels and she shut the fuck up.
