A few topics up for discussion:
Moderation: Back and decent. How can we help it remain this way?
Summer. Almost over but things didn't change that much. Did they?

/ghost/ is back, moot looked awkward and meido lives. This and more coming right up, granted that they allow some wiggle room on global rule six and let us discuss properly for a bit.

Take it to /ghost/

>> No.7672011

New meido or old meido?

>> No.7672024

>>7672005
That's the plan as usual.

>>7672011
meido is an entity composed of a line of janitors and mods that care for this board. I personally think it's just an older moderation guy being more active rather than a new member.

Columbia is too mentally unstable to entrust /jp/ to.

I would have agreed with you a few months back, but now that my brain tumor is mostly gone, I feel stable as fuck.

You don't probably care, but seriously, not being sad and fickle all the time? Feels awesome.
Sorry about the all the bullshit I put you guys through back then, by the way. I'm sorry I was such an asshole, but I'm glad I'm a better person now.

I could probably take on /jp/ at this mental state. Don't think I would be allowed to. Bridges burned and all...

Making the tripcode public was the best idea ever.

You can't. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Who knows, maybe they finally started hiring people from the janitor applications. It's not like we'd ever notice them going into action, no thread announcing it or anything.
It's a possibility is what I'm saying.

>>7672094
Wasn't that about an year ago? They probably dispatched new staff by that time, not now.

It was this January. 10000+ applications, they could be finishing now.

Moderation: Heavy-handed, but much better than none.
/ghost/ is back? I did not know this.

Don't worry about it. You may not be the law of the future, but you certainly made all the precedents.

Lurk more.

>> No.7672183,1 [INTERNAL]

Tough, but fair.
I am just glad that threads get deleted frequently now instead of a couple passes every day or so.

>> No.7672183,2 [INTERNAL]

Thank god we got meido back, now the normal /jp/ user base can come back and all the newfags will leave. Hes not as crazy though... he should delete like 10 pages. /jp/ will be elite and back up to 100% in no time, its been a long shitty year.

>> No.7672183,3 [INTERNAL]

>>7672183,2
I'm glad he's not as crazy. It's not like going through the board in that way achieved anything productive. If anything, it sent the spammers into overdrive to make up for it.
However, I am still proud of the speedy deletions I could get at times. That was great...

>> No.7672183,4 [INTERNAL]

Ever notice how spamming picks up tenfold whenever there is a meido?

>> No.7672183,5 [INTERNAL]

>>7672183,2
who do you think you're fooling? most of the regulars picked up and left when "meido" wrecked the board. the regulars browsed for on-topic threads not spam wars between an autistic retard janitor and the autistic regulars.

>> No.7672183,6 [INTERNAL]

>>7672183,4
yeah they are just butt mad, they will leave sooner or late by the end of summer. This fall/winter should be great.

>> No.7672183,7 [INTERNAL]

>>7672183,6
I agree with >>5 though, wars of attrition don't do anything in the long run except ruining it for the bystanders.

>> No.7672183,8 [INTERNAL]

>>7672183,7
But with meido now here, the new shitty user base that wiped out /jp/ from the beginning of the year will leave, i couldn't stand /jp/ this whole fucking year. remember when manga gamer released Koihime Musou? remember how terrible it was for 2 whole weeks with /a/ and /v/ shitting up the place and the anti pirating threads? That shit made me rage like no tomorrow, /jp/ sucked this whole year and its finally returning.

>> No.7672183,9 [INTERNAL]

please get the fuck out

>> No.7672183,10 [INTERNAL]

>>7672183,8
I think you're being too optimistic about it. We might go into a new state of the board, but the past is past, we will never get back to it. And specially not just by active deletion.

>> No.7672183,11 [INTERNAL]

>>7672183,8
Those people will never leave. Isn't it sad, etc.

What I'm interested in is what the new moderation means for posting of NSFW pics on our SFW board. I got a week long ban a week ago from the faggot mod we had then for porn here. I haven't seen a lot of what has happened from my easymodo prison, but are these new mods the same, or have they shown up recently? When I got banned it was not long after that Japanese rockstar sticky fiasco, are we talking a different set of mods now?
Whilst having shitposters deleted is good, I wish for a return to the days of AoC deleting the fags trying to shitpost in a loli thread whilst leaving up loli porn pics in the same thread. It truly was the best of times.

>>7672001
Global rule number 6 being relaxed? As in letting through shitposts? Are you sure you posted the right number?

>> No.7672183,12 [INTERNAL]

>>7672183,11
Ah, you're right. I meant the eight, not discussing the board, moderation or its policies.

>> No.7672183,13 [INTERNAL]

/jp/ has just gotten shittier progressively month after month. Having a janitor might slow down the rate at which it gets shittier but the loss of board regulars can't really be reversed.
