Judging from all the images posted on /jp/ i thought people only liked this show ironically... but wow this is actually really good now that I've started watching. It sort of reminds me of Foundation.

The LOGH anime would never make it in the Western market. We would all acknowledge that.
But what about the novels? Obviously, they wouldn't be extremely popular, but I know there would be some interest.
Of course, would any company be willing to even spend the time, let alone the money?
I'd sooner learn Japanese than read the LOGH novel series in English.

In short: Yes, I'm frustrated.
