I switched to w7 64bit and now touhou doesn't seem to recognize my fucking ps2 pad anymore.
wat do. I can't play touhou with a keyboard.

in b4 >use JoyToKey
It works like shit.

>> No.7666453

Learn to play it with the keyboard like a real little girl.

Compatibility mode.

What were you using before to PS2 pad? Some thing that looks like a generic joystick?

I don't think so, Tim.

Let w7 install drivers on its own.
Then use Xpadder, map the keys as you wish.
It works for me.

It doesn't work.

I always used a PS2 pad, I just switched to 7 64bit from 7 32bit.

Wow, you're fucking terrible.

>> No.7666485

If you don't like Joy2Key, you could try Xpadder.

http://www.xpadder.com/

Or alternatively you could just get a better pad, perhaps an SNES or Saturn controller?

Analogs are way more precise.

>>7666485
I can't use the left analog with Joy2Key, it's like it's pushed to the right randomly.

I'll give this Xpadder a try, I'll let you know when I'll find a full version.

I find that any precision gained from analog is bested by the time it takes to shift the stick from one side to the other.

>>7666508
The difference between analog and digital doesn't matter for Touhou at all because the game only recognizes eight directions.

>> No.7666524

Keyboard, sticks, pad, doesn't matter what is your choice if you are skilled with them.

What? No, shmups don't even recognize the analog nature of analog sticks.

Not at all. For touhou (example) the analog has a huge deadzone area. For small dodges you'd be fucked.

For games which use constant input, like walking, then they're fine.

I thought I was the only one with this problem, honestly it doesn't matter though since I found I'm way better with a keyboard. Is there anyfix to the deadzone though?
