How does /jp/ sort their images in a timely manner (physical sorting at the file and folder level, not just tagging from a shell program)?

what?

Ideally, everything gets saved into a 'to be sorted' folder, with subcategories that I sort them into later. In reality, I just save them all to one folder and keep track of them via date.

In a folder with large icons.

Reported.

For Touhou:

Touhou -> Solo -> Character X
Touhou -> Group -> 2/3/4/5/6/7/8 -> Character X with Character Y

Not a very good way to sort them for groups, I think.

Tons and tons of folders/subfolders. Make it like that from the start.

For example I have a folder for every individual Touhou, group folders, misc folders, a ZUN folder etc. And inside the folders for each of my individual Touhou folder are - a gif folder, an ecchi folder, a funny folder etc.

Once I made my format I just copypasted and renamed them all.

I have three /jp/ related directories:
Marked for Deletion
Reaction Images
ブリ(゚∀゚)ハマチ
I save images from /jp/ into one of these three directories.
That's the extent of my sorting. I have a pretty good memory, so I tend to remember which names I give my images when I need to find them.

sort by date modified

My desktop is blank as it is my image sorting pen
I throw images I like on my desktop until it gets full
And then its sorting time.

>> No.7647610

You are not a Touhou fan if you haven't saved at least 1 000 000 pics (and I only talk about fanarts).

>> No.7647635

My folder is small since I only save ZUN's art.

I sort my Touhou pics into folders based on groups, like Moriya, Koumakan, Chireiden, etc. Then sometimes I have individual folders for like, Reimu. I also have a folder of just reaction images.

Then I have a huge one for the Yakumos, cause Yukari~n.

Not him, but I only save what I actually like.

And I actually look at my images after I saved them. You've just stored them and will never look at them again.

>> No.7649405

23 442 images in 154 folders, all well sorted, but it's not even a lot compared to other folks collections.

But I would still be willing to kill for this personal album of mine.
