Who produces better character design/art, R07 or ZUN?

For me it's a toss-up, but ZUN definitely has it in terms of sheer volume.

Only thing I could find that's even somewhat related.

ZUN.

Care to state why?

Ryu07.

The only problem with this picture is that her feet are too short.

It's funny because there's no problem with that scenario actually being canon.

Not this shit again.

R07

ZUN, easily. His art's naive, sure, but it's quite creative and doesn't have anything like the freakish proportions of R07's. Those entire hams for hands.

Both have their own unique style that while may look unappealing to most at first but over time after learning about the characters you'll really grow attached to their art.

Ryu07 for character design. I like touhou's design, but the more-grounded designs of Ryukishi's characters just feel...well, more real.

I love ZUN's designs and all, but they just remind of all those deviantart OCs.

For actual art I prefer Zun, at least his "bad" art has a lot of charm to it.

Ryu rehashes stuff a lot, how many characters do you recall being just pallete swaps of each other?

Because Zun's design process is so much better right? Draw generic loli. Think of gimmick power. Put a hat on her. Done.

ZUN.
Umineko characters are heavily inspired by Touhou.
He should have stick with Higurashi char designs.
