Anyone want download links to photo sets taking from May'n 's recent concert in Paris?

They're all taken from the front row.

I guess. A video would be better.

Up skirt or...?

Tried video, security stopped me and threatened to take away my camera.

So just got lots and lots of photos.

what lens/how close were you to stage?
last year at AX had a guy shoot from the front with a crop and a 24-105 because I didn't know he was going to need me to bring gear
I brought a 70-200 2.8 this year for Kalafina and Maon
...except then they put us up top in Club Nokia so the angles sucked ass. Ugh.

Argh, my friend is insisting I only post the link to his site with the download links on but the news page isn't online yet so he says look here for now:

But here's a download link to the first 40 photos or so;

We were 1 metre away from the stage, only a small area for press photographers separating us from May'n.

We were using a Canon 18-55 mm kit lens.

Also, my friend says check out that site since he put a review of her concert on that news post.

i dunno how much it costs to rent stuff in france but you might want to look into renting lenses if you ever shoot more concerts. a 24-70 2.8, a 35 1.4, whatever. yeah it can cost you like $50 per lens rental (depending on length and what you're renting) but how often do you get the chance to shoot concerts like may'n?

Sadly, I'm still an amateur photographer so I don't have many lenses and the people I knew with DSLRs had Nikons and I use Canons.

Guess I missed my chance for proper photos during May'n *sigh*

well, try to look around for a french lens rental company so when next japan expo comes up you'll be able to get some nicer stuff, assuming you get press again (if it's like the U.S. it's easy to get press for anime conventions). having to jack the iso really high sucks and sometimes it still doesn't work in the end.

i can't actually look at the photos yet because my internet is ass-slow and the second tier tech support hasn't called me back.

I live in Europe so it's pretty much impossible to get any idols anywhere here.

I know how thou feels, at some parts, I had to raise the ISO up to 1600 due to the light and you can see the amount of noise in some photos but considering the shutter speed I needed, it was the only way to make the photos visible
