So I just ordered Genki I and the first workbook. I've got a little over two months till my new job starts.
Is it possible to learn enough to play simple VNs until then? I've got nothing else to do so I'll probably be grinding kanji all day.

If not with genki, which ones are recommended? Or, can anyone link to these language resource help guides and posts? I went on the /lang/ board but i didn't really find anything all that great. The board is full of other languages as well, and kind of hard to go through.
