I only have one chair in my bedroom. It's made of wood and has no cushioning or anything.
I guess that's the opposite of cheesy.

The leather is starting to split and stabs me in the back to the point were if I fall asleep it draws blood.

Sadly though I can't find a nice chair for me secondhand and don't wanna pay 150 for a new one.

My chair is fucked. The seat is ripped, both of the armrests have multiple rips in them, the leather/fake leather material on the area where my lower-back presses against the chair has disintegrated, there are two rips in the headrest, and there's a bunch of little holes in the chair from my cats clawing at it. And it squeaks when I lean back or forward.

My chair is about as torn up as the one in the OP. It also has an exaggerated slant when I stand up. If I lean to the side, it'll shift dramatically, like I'm playing some kind of motorcycle game.

Yet its still more comfortable than most.

I buy chairs from walmart for around $100 every few years.

Everyone of them has been comfortable and quite nice.

I sit on the floor with a bunch of blankets and pillows around me. Empty boxes from figure shipments serve as small tables and elevate my monitor to a comfortable reading position.

Mine retains heat like crazy, so it's very uncomfortable in the summer months. It also makes loud noises when leaning back or rotating. I think I'm gonna get a heavy duty chair next time, had a chance to try one out a while ago and they feel so solid... like actual furniture.
