I need to wear glasses, I can't say I know exactly how bad they are.

It's redundant though, when I'm inside I'm at my PC, on the rare occasions I'm outside I'm happy not being able to see.

12 years ago I could apparently be a pilot.
I am not all too sure about that anymore.

But keep in mind how eyes can be trained, like most of anything. Like a "muscle" almost.

Ever thought of why the bookworm, or now more modern screen-oogling archtype is commonly portrayed (and commonly have) weaker eyesight?

Its simple. Because the eyes of these people tend to not get much variation. Eyes need to shift between far away and close up focus in order to become good at changing and maintaining focus.

Even if you don't go out much, you could/should still keep this mind. Take a moment and look away at the far-side of the room, or perhaps more preferably, outside the window every once in a while, per day.
Doing so could retain your eyesight far longer than if you just let your eyes dim away at the same distance all the time, and if done diligently, it might even improve your eyesight altogether to some extent.

Dammit OP, now I have something else to add to my list of kinky things I want to try. I don't even wear glasses; how am I supposed to experience a girl licking the lenses inches from my eyes until her hot saliva drips onto my face?

Pretty healthy but I get nearsighted sometimes. For instance if I'm on the couch or in bed with my laptop and I look at the TV that's further away, I can't see it, or the other day when I was in the kitchen the other day chopping stuff I couldn't see the TV. Eventually I can see far away, but it takes a while.

>> No.7582071

Mine varies from day to day depending on what I eat.
Salty foods tend to worsen my vision.

Some days I can see the writing on the white board,
on other days I need to use my glasses.

If I stare long enough
whatever I'm looking at will come into focus,
but the professor will have erased it if I wait for that to happen.
I put my glasses on if it takes too long for my vision to attain focus.

I would move closer, but I like sitting in the back.

>> No.7582078

Look at it this way.

On most browsers, you can bring up your browsing history by pressing Control-H. (No, this is not going to become a discussion of werecows.) On Firefox, this brings up a sidebar that shows up on the left side of the window. If you put your mouse over the edge of the sidebar, the cursor will turn into a different kind of arrow. By clicking and dragging it, you can move the edge of the sidebar back and forth. You are, to put it another way, manipulating the border between the normal window and the history window. By moving the mouse, you can increase the portion of the window devoted to either part. In a more extreme view of this situation, you're increasing or decreasing the amount of existence the sidebar has.

Now, let's apply this idea to something more abstract. Look out your window. If you don't live in a highly urbanized area, you should be able to see the horizon. Think of this as the border between the land and the sky. The land and sky are obviously distinguishable thanks to this boundary. Now, if you were to "drag" the sash between the sky and the land, or to manipulate the border between land and sky, you would end up causing the sky to become larger and the land to become smaller, or vice versa. An effect of this might be to cause something that was just on the ground to suddenly be hundreds of feet in the air. Truly a frightening situation to be in. So, look at it this way - manipulating the border between two physical things shifts whatever balance there is in the interaction between those things. Alternatively, by manipulating the border between two things, you can change the manner in which they exist.

I use to go to the mountain and forest, like to shoot mah guns. No really, but lately my vision has improved a lot, the medic says i CAN be a pilot because my actual eyesight is ok, butall i could make is tired vision after lots of hours reading and that.
I love to watch out of my window i'm not the typical /jp/er, and i go outside (but alone xD, you could say i am total /jp/ with that)

>> No.7582084

Still, this isn't *that* abstract, since it's still dealing with real things in the real world. Many believe that in this world, there are those things that are true, and those that obviously aren't. This divides reality into two extremes: truth and falsehood. But, since we have two extremes, logically one can imagine a boundary between those two extremes - the border between truth and lies. If one were to manipulate this border, suddenly things that were pure fantasy (flying pigs, for the sake of argument) have become reality - or things from reality have ceased to exist. This is how Yukari is said to have invaded the moon - by manipulating the border between truth and lies, as applied to the reflection of the moon on a pond, she was able to make the reflection of the moon into a manifestation of the actual moon, and so send her youkai army onto it. This is what's truly amazing about Yukari's power - the ability to manipulate the border between completely abstract concepts allows her to fundamentally change reality as we know it (at least in terms of two abstract concepts).

One day, Mokou was out shopping with the neet. They drank a lot of lemonade and had to piss, so they went to the bathroom together. While Mokou was doing her business, the neet stuck her head under the stall divider.

"So what do you think of that new dress? Shit is so cash, right?"

"Kaguya, you can't do that!" Mokou screamed. "Get out!"

Mokou started kicking the neet in the face, but the neet braved the pain and slithered under the divider and into the spacious stall. The neet carefully squirmed her arm under Mokou's leg and began to finger her. This caused Mokou's piss stream to intensify, a golden torrent rivaling a fire hydrant. The piss was powerful enough to knock down the stall door, sending it crashing into the far wall. Picking Mokou up by her underarms, the neet carried her around as a mobile piss cannon, blasting holes in walls and ripping apart innocent shoppers in a wall of hot urine. When Mokou was finally exhausted, the pair stood in the ruins of the mall, knee--deep in a golden lake. Piss mixed with shoppers' blood rained down from what was left of the ceiling. Too embarrassed to even move, she offered no resistance as the neet shoved her head underwater and drowned Mokou in her own piss. The neet whipped out her cell phone and called Cirno, informing the fairy of a whole new lake that just formed that she can play in.

I have to get my eyes tested soon and know that I'll have to get glasses. I can't read any small text on my 1080p monitor at all if I'm farther than 2 feet from the screen.

I'm worried about the kinds of glasses I'll get because I know that I'll obsess over the way they'll make me look, even though nobody ever sees me. Contact lenses also are out of the question, as I've never been comfortable to even use eye drops in my life, let alone put something directly into my eye like that (not to mention having to remember to take them out and clean them and all of that business).

I've always like the way thick-framed glasses look, like Sakuya in the OP image, Homura, or ILLUSTRIOUS MARI, for example, but feel pretentious and also think that I might prefer larger glasses, so as to provide a larger range of eyesight correction and less of a LIFE THROUGH LENSES experience. At that point, I feel like a stereotypical hipster kid who's trying to look nerdy just for the very sake of looking nerdy. I'm all-too obsessive, even with the knowledge that NOBODY will ever see me wearing these glasses.
