Seriously, they should just legalize it... if you look at it's history very VERY CLOSELY... you'll see that it's corporate greed rather than actual health risk that made weed illegal (those bastards) scientifically and medically speaking... weed isn't that much different from the usual tobacco...

I've read some very interesting articles on the medical properties of hemp, a LOT of people swear it can cure almost anything including cancer.
There was a amateur movie made by some Canadian a few years ago about how nothing helped him except for chewing some help with a cup of tea several times a day.
Funny you mention corporate greed, if people new about it's healing properties all the conventional medicines, pills and operations would be useless and pharmaceutical companies would go bust.

IIRC before they started it's about 60 or 70 people killed in drug related violence... after that, casualty just skyrocketed... all those millions of dollars, lost of lives all because of a substance that is barely as addicting as Tobacco but with more promises of cure and relief than your average medical cabinet due to media brainwashing and corporate greed...

The pro-pot folk would have a better chance if they just said "Its a good way to relax after a busy day and it relieves nausea" and left it at that.
