I don't recall anyone with a lick of taste raving how good it was. The game is a joke. Sin Koihime Musou is somewhat better, but still not great. At the very least, don't play them expecting gameplay. If you just want a moe harem game then it's probably ok.

not much. Instead of formations beating each other out now formations only determine your battle stat (melee, cavalry, bow). You then choose one of those three attack method and the effectiveness of yourr attack will depends on what the enemy picked. It works like this: melee>cavalry>bow>melee. You can change formations and hence attack stats) mid battle. Each general have 3 Ougis instead of 1. There are tons of generals you can use (basically everyone recruitable,)
