I'm not sure how you can play offensive and how defensive..

You want to shoot as much as possible and not get hit, soo...

Also, grazing for bullets aimed at you and "normal dodging" for random bullets, grazing stray bullets is only something for you if you care about scoring.

Death bombing when playing a stage / difficulty level I've already cleared and safe bombing if I'm still trying to 1cc it..

Who plays windowed?..

Another interesting question would be if you look at your character's hitbox most of the time or if you look slightly above/around your character and dodge by anticipating where the bullets go.

I tried windowed today when i was playing on a 1280x1024 monitor. It's very easy to play PCB because i can see all the screen at once and see every safe spots. But STB is unplayable, too hard to see the gaps between bullets.

I used to play more midscreen because I heard that was best, but nowadays I take it easy near or on the bottom because I find I simply do better down there. I stay near the POC as much as possible of course, I simply mean to say I emphasize safety.

I try to go in between stuff all the time, even when there's no real reason for it.

I used to try to death bomb, but I've mostly given up on that too and just throw that shit out whenever I feel threatened because losing a bomb is such a bad thing.

I used to play windowed, but now I only play Fullscreen; it's much better.

I start at the spot above my character- If I try to watch her hitbox I almost always fail.

I play Lazer Marisa almost always, but I really like all the shot types in Ten Desires. Best shots ever in my opinion.

It depends. If I'm confident, I can go offensive, but usually I'm defensive unless I'm playing Youmu in TD where I have to be on the offense. Usually dodge and deathbomb, and I play windowed because full screen feels weird to my eyes.

How many people here use a keyboard, and how many use a gamepad or other input device? I can't decide which method I like better, and it doesn't seem to make a ton of difference for me either way. Seems like some spellcards favor one and some favor the other. What do people with actual talent use?

If offensive means trying to hit whatever as much as possible, I guess that's how I play. Then again, I prefer dodging and surviving instead of scoring, and death bombing possibly because IN, so I'm not sure.
I play on fullscreen because I find it more comfortable that way.

Deathbomb-If i'm gonna screw a card up, i'd rather keep the life than be left with a failed card and one less life.

I prefer defensive, I guess. A lot of peopel say "the faster it's over", but if it comes down to that mentality, you'll never really get a lot better at manouvering and surviving.
I try to graze when I can, mostly to develop my spatial relations.
I try to death bomb, but a lot of the time I panic- although 9/10 of those times I'd die very soon after anyways if I didn't bomb.
