Then complain about how the board is too slow and it needs some tripfriend drama and post the forumsprings of the usual suspects. Then turn your thread into an idol thread.

Trolling is similar to Socratic irony. You have to support an unpopular opinion as fact with actual facts mixed with intentional logical fallacies. The best trolls tell the truth and just change a small but important bit.

It's not really trolling if it's that blatantly obvious.

Yes, and that's why most people fail at trolling by changing opinions halfway/taking offense at something their victim said/whatever. You have to create some sort of barrier between your trolls and actual opinions.

Many people define being opposed to feminism as misogyny. But if you strictly define it as actually hating women, I guess I'm not. I just hate the ideas they have been corrupted with and follow blindly, though without ill intent.

>>7497045
Trolling used to mean you had to cause some amount of emotional distress in your victims. Maybe you could technically call it trolling if you simply tricked them into an argument and wasted a lot of their time, but it would be really crappy trolling, since you would have wasted just as much time on it yourself. If you stick to this definition, it's nearly impossible to troll /jp/, since we're too emotionless to care about anything you might try to stir us up with.

However, if you use the modern definition of "making a non-serious post and getting people to reply to it", I guess you sucked us right into that one.

>> No.7497072

If you are participating in this retarded /r9k/-tier "feminism" discussion you could not be any more autistic.

You are getting trolled in a thread that started with "How to troll /jp/?". I'm sure it gets more retarded than that but I cannot presently think how.

>> No.7497074

>>7497064
I won't bother watching such a crappy video. What I meant is that most normal women have no ill intent in their destructive actions, they are simply following their social conditioning. The feminists who enforce this social conditioning, however, are a different story.

It isn't shitposting. Anime > doujins/manga. I'm also a secondary and don't shit in a bucket. I'm not from /a/ but it's better than /jp/. Just because I say these things, doesn't mean I'm shitposting. It just means your tiny mind can't comprehend that other people feel that way.

>>7497027
No, I'm quite new.

>>7497038
It isn't trolling when someone experesses an opinion. I remember the good old days before 4chan, when "troll" was just a mythical creature. Now everyone uses the word arbitrarily to describe anyone smarter than they are, anyone who tells a joke, anyone with a sense of humour, or anyone who posts their opinions they don't share. It's quite stupid actually. You even fell for it yourself.

>> No.7497087

>>7497081

Trolling has become less a word in internet society and more of a defense mechanism. Your mind is dependent on what it considers to be truths. Usually it takes massive events to break these walls down. However when being hit with contradictory evidence or argument, it has become easy to label them as a Troll, which clears you of any guilt and leaves that wall impervious to attack.

>> No.7497093

When I say that VNs are shit, it's because they are slow, have shitty sound effects and anime is better, because it's fully voiced, animated and tells the story much better. I would normally get reported for saying this in /jp/, and given a 0/10.

I only really like slice-of-life anime too. I love Keion and Lucky Star. Moe characters are the best, and mecha-type anime usually bore me and I abandon them. Moe is seen as /a/ material though isn't it, so when you express these things, as you say, you are called a troll and sent back to >>>/a/.

>> No.7497110

>>7497093
The large majority of /a/ threads I've seen are actually about anime. Where /jp/ is about anything you like it to be. /jp/ can't seem to define what /jp/ is about, and will derail in to "trolling". VNs and Touhou? Sure, but what about flavour-of-the-month MMOs, or music, or Japan /new/ material? I'm not sure why /a/ is looked down on for any other reasons that it's faster, there's a rivalry because of the split, and that the people there are more normal and adjusted than the people here.

>> No.7497111

>Moe is seen as /a/ material
I--what? You don't even understand the words you're using.

That's like saying movies are better than books because movies have actors and sound. It's not /jp/'s fault you have ADHD.

It's mostly because they >imply>mfw and use other things that are considered shitposting and should stay in /b/v/sp/. Also because they're underage and have lower powerlevels on average.

Reading a book takes a long time while maintaining a high level of concentration, and requires you to remember every single detail and giving everyone voices, while trying not to fall asleep. Watching the movie provides you with the whole story and each character becomes alive on their own, and is much faster and has music too. Why would you read a book when you can watch the movie?*

*Ideally, where both are equal, and parts are not removed/changed.

Example, I just read 12 panels of some black and white doujin. I didn't get much from it. Now, those 12 panels in an anime could have been adorable, moe, exciting and caused several memes to be made on Youtube. No one is going to tell you to go back to >>>/a/ if you even admit that anime is better. Stop trying to distance yourself from something just because some people see it negatively.

>> No.7497126

I have been watching K-on, Lucky Star, Nichijou because I just happen to like KyoAni's slice of life shows, that's pretty much all I watch show wise. I have some VNs, I have some Manga and a ton of Hentai/Doujin. Thing is that seperates /a/ from /jp/ is obsession level. /a/ is full of normalfags who like anime, whereas /jp/ feels more like the back alleyway where everyone is seedy and perverted and has way, way more aggressive opinions.

I don't think stuff like Moe and Waifus are banned here, but it just so happens you can't have a good thread about that without alot of massive OP IS A FAGGOT.

>> No.7497142

Seriously though, you make it sound like a challenge. Unless you're reading the Critique of Pure Reason, reading should not require a special mental effort, especially if it's fiction. I know you understand comparing media is retarded so I won't get into that.

Thing is I have Hyperfocus disorder, so when I read something as engrossing as a book I forget about everything from eating, sleeping, anything short of using the bathroom. So i'll burn through a book and not do anything else for 5-7 hours depending on length.

I find reading books very difficult. I can read text on my computer no problem, but get kind of bored if I do it for a long time. I normally put some music on too. Where as I normally have to read books in bed, and it's very difficult to read them. I'll read a few pages, and then start to forget what I just read, and find myself going back a page and starting over because it didn't sink in. It's hard on my concentration and I get sleepy. Besides, anime is purely better than comic books/manga.
