There is nothing at all wrong with tripfags if they actually contribute to the board in a particular way. Making a trip that references a seasonal anime for no reason other than standing out is dumb -- there is absolutely no reason for you to identify yourself, there is nothing gained by people recognising you. You wouldn't stand out in any case (as your post explains), so it's like an attention seeking child resorting to the last thing he can think of: screaming loudly. If you started thinking about how you can actually contribute to /jp/, rather than how you can be the most fabulous attention whore possible, then maybe people would appreciate you more and maybe you'd achieve non-forced tripfag status one day.
