I was pretty disappointed with this tournament. I guess its because the game is new, but aren't most of the players in this game previously Melty or GG/BB players? Netplay Sharl in top 8 because no one plays against her? I main Konoha (Lightning/water) so I also know that feel, but everyone can deal with me easily because I have no reach.

Bell is a pretty cool guy, but I think he complains about tiers and Weiss too much. If he wants to main her instead that's obviously alright. Just odd that he would pick at say, Fire Saki or Luck Lise, which are both considered very good combinations by the Japanese, though both of them were sub-par in execution on their arcana choices.

I never played the first but it has really easy cancel mechanics and it's pretty balanced now. Some characters are easier and therefore played more though.Sacred sucksDon't bother with the story, it's shit.
The new stuff is all about free Homing and Extend. Just take a look at the wiki.

Parace is like Mildred times 1000, but thankfully, she's only the score attack boss and her health goes down every time you lose against her.

The main boss of AH3 is Scharlahrot, and while she spams specials due to her increased regen rate and has permanent extend in the second match, she's not really as bad as Mildred, and you can tweak the settings to deal with her more easily.

And there's been a bunch of changes (mostly minor) since the first game, listing them all would take too long. Best to try the game on your own.

Okay recently Aksys games got a new president ( by recently I mean in the last couple of years)

His idea of a new corporate strategy is basically turtle-ing, Keeping costs down, not risking a lot with new IPs and only going for ideas that work.

All in all not a bad strategy but it's not really a good idea when you're a producer of niche games.

Anyway! When it comes to Battle Fantasia he wanted to keep the costs down, Sony was being a dick and charging a lot for the production of Blu-Ray discs what with them owning about 60%-80% of the manufacturers it kind of makes sense to gouge the people who are providing you with money (It really doesn't). But this was also the beginning of Sony pushing it's online emphasis (which worked out soo~ well for it)

So BF became download only for PS3 and had a disc for Xbox 360 (because dvds costs about 25 cents to print)

In the mean time they got a new marketing director.

Flash forward to now and the marketing director noticed that sales for PSN was consistent and blah blah blah all the benefits of digital distribution. Also they noticed that while sales of 360 titles were just as consistent they drew less of a profit since stores weren't placing new orders and were instead clearancing or re-selling unsold copies.

So when Arcana Heart rolls around they decide to make it download only for MORE MONEY. However thanks the whole PSN debacle and people starting to realize the downside of trusting your finances to a company that doesn't have a vested interest in your personal revenue. Which is one of a small number of factors that's leading to Record of the Agarest War: Zero being a regular title instead of a download only.

I told you all that so you'd understand this:

The reason it's not on the 360 is because they have a limit on the size of the file you store on their server for sale. Arcana Heart is like 10 times the limit or something, so they won't do it. Aksys is one of a number of publishers pushing for this change but Microsoft wont' do it as it puts an incredible strain on their servers and would worsen the Xbox Live experience.

If you really want it though you can figure out some way to import it from Britain, though you'll be in the same boat as that other guy.

Oh right and the reason Blazblue had a physical release instead of download only is for a couple reasons:

- it's the spiritual successor of Guilty Gear a game that always sold well for Aksys
- The tournament scene for it in Japan was fairly large and managed to jump over to here before launch guaranteeing sales
- The makers of Blazblue didn't want their title to be download only (One of the reasons the PSP game also had a physical release)
- I think there was talk that Blazblue was a bit too large to download, but I could be wrong

with Arcana Heart:
- The tournament scene while intense is fairly small
- It only had 1 game in the US and that didn't catch on
- The makers didn't care about how it was distributed

She is rated as average in overall 'tier' ranking, but she is very heavy on difficult execution.
Her 'best' arcana setup is punishment, but you need perfect level play.

If you want an overall ranking in the cast, the Japanese typically consider her to be better than Saki, but harder to play.
Akane, Heart, Scharl, etc take the cake for being easier to use and high ranking.
The only characters people consider low tier (B-/C+) are Kira, Mei Fang and maybe Angelica. Fiona flops between very good or low depending on who makes the list.

tl;dr play whoever the hell you want.
