It's more how they completed wiped Phoenix and gave the torch of Apollo.

We were with Phoenix through 3 games, from his beginning and throughout his development. Then Capcom decides to effectively kill him off in between 3 and Apollo, wiping out all that progress.

I don't have the screenshot anymore but it was from number 3, where the head prosecutor defence or whatever sees why Mia took in Phoenix, and how he could become something great.

Next panel is Hobo Phoenix's introduction as a humble piano player from Apollo.

The first game was alright, although I didn't really like how disconnected the cases were from one another, like they were just thrown together randomly. I do however, like the extra case they added for the DS version with Damon Gant and Jake Marshall- THAT was a very good case. And while the first three cases in Justice for All were only okay, the last case is probably one of the best cases in the entire series, hands down. Matt Engarde is probably the greatest antagonist in the series, and getting to fuck him over in the final parts of the case are so satisfying.

I liked Trials and Tribulations; there was no real case that was as intense as the final one in Justice for All, but they were all good and the characters were nicely designed.
I have a soft spot in my heart for Apollo Justice, even if Phoenix is now a hobo.

I liked how there were plenty of double-entendres and flat out shout-outs to eroge scenarios. Judging by the amount of Japanisium in T&T the translator(s) was/were not afraid of omitting anything, the more one resembles Ted Woolsey the better.

In my opinion, the best case was the extra case in the first one, Gant was a very delightful character. The second game was alright, I got the bad ending the first time which was sort of a downer for me, but it was very delicious experience to thwart the cup-holding vampire at the end.

If by last case you're referring to the one with Von Karma, there's one more after that.

2's first case sucks, but introduces a character who returns later. 2's second case is alright, but essential to the plot. 2's third case might be the worst. 2's fourth case might be the best.

All of 3's cases are worth playing. The last two are both excellent. First three are just good, even the first tutorial level.

Apollo Justice is good, but people like to bitch about it since Phoenix doesn't have the spotlight anymore.

Edgeworth 2 will never be released in the USA.

Capcom has recently turned on the jerk mode and if something isn't going to be madly profitable like rehashing Street Fighter, they are not going to release it.

Ironically, they initially didn't release Super Street Fighter on the PC (only now that they are making Arcade Edition) because despite strong sales "it got pirated more than it sold".
They are about to cancel Megaman Legends "because it probably ain't gonna sell well enough".

And they decided not to localize the European version AAI (ok, admittedly, that was Nintendo of Europe's decision given nobody bought the localized versions because they were released over a year later than their American counterparts and given most people would just import the american one (or japanese one with the first 3 games))

I understand and sympathise with the criticism of Apollo Justice but it was still an ok addition to the series. It was an interesting story, had some fun characters and generally retained the charm of the previous games -- something Ace Investigations completely failed at. Whether or not is was worth wiping out all the old characters and reducing Phoenix to a side role is debatable, but probably a mistake; still, the game was good despite this mistake.
