If you didn't 1cc it, you didn't beat it. Almost every boss past stage 2 in IN, MoF, and PCB is nearly impossible to be able to beat without dying a hundred times. No, practice doesn't make perfect in these games, otherwise I'd be 1ccing these games on Hard+ with out breaking a sweat daily.

A big part of the Touhou games are using your bombs. Whether it's to prevent the loss of a life or a strategic bombing to gain points, bombs are used at all levels of play. The only reason not to bomb are for trick clears, such as no-focus clears or pacifist clears.

Strategic uses of bombings for score aren't done during spellcards, of course. They're done in the stage section. In SA some bombs can be used to get more graze than normally possible, and in PCB there are places where bombing nets you more cherry than you lose from the bomb.
