I have a bad tendency to mash on wakeup.

Bump for games.

>> No.7443885

Sorry, need a minute.

>> No.7443940

Ugh, sorry for all these introductions.

>> No.7443961

Fun games, although lag really hurt both of us. I'm not on the WC but I wanted to play anyways so that's probably why we lagged.

>> No.7444050

>>7443961
Mm, thanks for the games. Sorry for ending them on no notice like that.

Yeah, in cross-country games lag is always an issue. Maybe 12.3 will become more active like it used to, if the players haven't scattered to the four winds.

>> No.7444077

Lobby and IRC.

Frankly, I'd rather be playing MBAC or EFZ.

Hey, really sorry for wasting your time like that. Something came up.

How do you save replays while spectating? The phantasm matches are too good to watch just once.

I give, I give.
Been a long time since my last play.
Amazing like usual, Idler. I don't think I saw you playing Patchy and Cirno before.
You've been practicing or what?

It's been a while since I last saw you, GGs.

Cirno's been my second main for a long time, but I picked Patchy up quite recently.

Sorry for whoever joined, I was typing a response but was planning to host again.

Still hosting in case there's someone who wants to play:

>> No.7452952

I will probably play again anytime soon.
Just want to know, are people still using Soku+?

>> No.7452978

Woah, back the fuck up.
What's Soku+?
The fuck did I miss?

>> No.7452983

>>7452978
You missed absolutely nothing. Soku+ is shit.

>> No.7452990

>>7452952
Sadly, no. I had such high hopes for it because it made a few awesome changes but it looks kind of abandoned now.

System changes and balance patch to make the game more tourneyfag-like.

>> No.7452997

So, I just googled the thing. It's a rebalancing patch, right? No new movesets, sprites or anything.

What's the point?

>> No.7453009

>>7452997
No. There are new moves and new system mechanics like Roman Cancels and terrible decisions.

>> No.7453014

>>7453009
Oh.
But the general /jp/ opinion is
>It's shit right?

>> No.7453018

>>7452997
You ever heard of brawl+? Soku+ is more fun in "competitive play" simply because more characters are viable. Useless moves have been made useful and you get more options thanks to the system changes. It's also faster somehow.

>> No.7453026

>>7453014
I haven't touched regular soku since + came out because I really liked it but that's only me. Coincidentally, that's when the permanent netplay threads have disappeared.

>> No.7453029

>>7453018
But it's not more fun in "competitive play". If anything it's less fun because the changes allow for highly effective yet extremely simple strategies that dumb the game down.
Also, all of the characters in Soku are viable. Some may be worse than others but they are all capable of winning at high levels of play.

>> No.7453032

>>7452997
Can you really call it a balance patch when Iku and Okuu got the least change of all characters?

>> No.7453037

>>7453029
>highly effective yet extremely simple strategies that dumb the game down
Which are?

>> No.7453060

newfag here, to play in network i only need to install soku lobby?

>> No.7453070

>>7453060
No, you don't need soku lobby to play online. The built in netplay works just fine.

>> No.7453071

>>7453060
Soku's netplay is built into the game, you don't need lobby. To host, forward port 10800 (or any other currently unused port), use the host option (first) in the netplay menu, input correct port if need be, and post your IP address in the thread, along with your location so you don't end up with unwanted across-the-world visitors.

To join, no need to open anything, either type in a hosting person's IP in the second option in netplay, or copy it (ctrl-c) and pick the 5th option.

If you choose to use lobby however, you do only need to install that (and obviously soku) and you should be good to go.

>> No.7453086

hello, semi-newfag here.

does anybody or anyone here know a good build for alice? i know people don't appreciate her, especially that goddamn melee

but i would really like to know an ideal build, if any

from theirin

>> No.7453101

>>7453086
4 default 22B/C skill to get her pressure going and for more dolls on the screen
4 Return Inanimate for damage off dialA, 6A or 22B/C
4 Bombs or Scarves to get out easier
2 Hourai Doll for even more damage
2 Trip wire as reversals
+ 4 yoyo or walking doll skill depending on what you like

Not an "ideal" build but that's what you see the most.
