I work a normal job in R&D.

Really, if a hikki wanted a job, they should find a place outside of service/sales, because human contact goes WAY down.

I never really had fun not working, I just ended up spending that time surfing 4chan for years. It was a waste of time and I felt pathetic. The only reason I did it all day was because I was too depressed for any other activity.

Yeah, I work at a warehouse and basically don't have to deal with anyone. A computer keeps track of our performance and I'm consistantly the top performer so I don't have to even suck up to my boss to keep my job and get a raise.

It's a shame that most entry level jobs are the hardest for people with social anxiety. I was fired from 3 retail jobs for being awkward before I found this one.

I move pallets around mostly. Put received items into the correct place and enter it into the database, find and pull items that need to be pulled. I drive a forklift around a lot.

It's simple, but at least it's not stressful.

>> No.7442523

I don't think I could do it for eight hours at a time. Or even four.

>> No.7442537

Not working is so much more fun.
Working means thinking and interacting and then evaluating that work and interaction when I get back home. I'd much rather get drunk all day and laugh at silly moe things.

>Has a normal job.

I've always believed it's part of management strategy to make you feel like you're under-performing, so they can try and force you to do more/work for free.

Unless you do something REALLY stupid, you should be ok. One has to fuck up/ask stupid questions.be generally incompetent a few times to get things right, and any reasonable manager understands this.

I'm not really afraid of working. I had a job a while back, until I quit. Picking up work can be frustrating, but when you actually do get started, you start to feel very productive. It's a good feeling.

It's just that after awhile, you start to grow an immunity to this feeling. The satisfaction you got at the end of your first day isn't there anymore. All that's left is the pre-work frustration.

And that's why I quit. I get wellfare funds today and feel incredibly whatever.

>> No.7442608

Just getting to work would be a problem for me since I'm shit at driving and I'll never ever get my license, I just suck that hard at it. The working part itself wouldn't be too hard though as I'm just doing something simple.

For me it goes both ways, I'm a hate magnet and in turn that is one the things that makes me not want to talk to most other people or even make eye contact with them. I don't feel right around them. There have been very few people in my life I have ever been able to speak to without feeling like I'm being talked down to or the person has hidden motives. No conversation is ever just that, there always seems to be quiet shit going on the background to hurt me.

If slaves were paid, free to do what they wanted in their free time and were free to leave at any time.
So yeah. It's glorified slavery if you ignore the definition of slavery.

Hourly perhaps, but a salary isn't.

The philosophy of a salary is that they're interested in what the company's doing, and are working for it's success. This is also why their time on the job can vary so much; one week they need to put in 80 hours to get things done on time, another they only put in 20 because everything's finished.

Of course, there are various splinters of this in a real work setting, but you should be able to find a place that lets you work like you want if you search enough.

You do an excellent job, they said...
We're demoting you so we can hire someone with less experience that we can pay less, they said...

THIS

With some people, there is that one slight feeling in the back of my head, a thought that tells me "this person is using you" It makes me ignore people, and outright stop talking to those I used to consider friend. It's especially powerful whenever someone tries to bum too many rides from me, or calls me up out of the blue after not having talked to me in a while, just to get a ride somewhere. Sometimes I'd like to tell these people that I am a person, not a human taxi.

That's just an example though. As a general rule people are almost always trying to use you in some way when they interact with you. It's very hard to find sincere people.
