Some basic history for the newfags(most of whom are saging and pretending to know) :

-VNs, touhou and other jaan stuff kept getting spammed on /a/

-People keep whining that its not anime/manga related

-Moot for some reason decides that a brilliant solution is to make a /jp/ - Japan General board for anything related to Japan

-Everything is relatively fine for a short period till people decide to start argueing over what counts as Japan related. Moot tries to help by changing the board name several times, we end up with "Otaku Culture" and people still whining. Arguments still persist to this day, usually by autistic newfags who pretend they are 4chan staff and make decisions about what is allowed on a board.

-Also at some point newfags start pretending they are better than /a/ in some way because they read VNs instead of manga, and we get 200+ spam threads of random japanese pop stars.

this part always gets me. they're everywhere too. they've obviously not even been around a year and they talk about how it "was" and the "way it is". they always make autistic outburts for a while and fade away and are forgotten. if all the children who thought they knew what was allowed continually kept posting/spamming topics they don't like the board would be like /b/.

where are all the e-vigilantes from 3 years ago who kept trying to "improve" the board? trash like voile are exactly like that.
