Pic very unrelated.

>> No.7426705

i've always wanted to learn an instrument but my parents wouldn't buy me one or encourage me to learn something.

i'll never be a keion ;_;

>> No.7426708

That;s fucking awesome, OP.

I can play anything, as long as I have sheet music of it, or from memory.

>> No.7426712

I can play the piano pretty well. I play touhou music that I find from kkcwkoh's youtube channel. Best song is either immortal smoke or septette 2.

Great, I'd love to see your Rachmaninoff followed by a sight reading of Claire de Lune.

I play all kinds of stuff. Some classical stuff (Bach, Beethoven bagatelles, Chopin). And lots of vidgame music. And a little jazz.

Bought a keyboard a few months ago. Used to play piano as a kid.

All I can play right now are some basic anime-related songs. I will probably pick up some sheet music from Animenz or Josh's anime sheet music collection when I get better.

>> No.7426807

I don't have one, i could get one but i don't i don't feel inspired for the moment,
i have a guitar but i can't even play with two strings at the same time, i only know how to play metal gear solid theme and the beginning of the godfather,
piano seems more "easy" when it come to make music but maybe i'm wrong

I bought a Korg LP350 this past month. I'll be uploading a few videos to Youtube once I get a MIDI cable and VSTs running properly.

I bought one for five hundred during a sale and without any taxes because it was their floor model.

I've never been good at keys; I've always been a stringed instrument kind of guy. I only really use a keyboard for writing music.

I've always envied those who were really badass at piano playing. Probably the nicest instrument to listen to solo.

I bought the Yamaha P95B on sale for $550 (reg $899) on amazon. After dust cover, stand, shipping, I think I ended up paying $620.

I can play piano, I mean back in the day I knew some chopin, bach etc but mostly preferred to try to play shit like the Super Mario theme song (and of course, later taught myself some Touhou songs, Flowering Night probably sounding best imo).

I very much prefer synth over default piano though, because I actually write a bunch of experimental/ambient electronica as a hobby. I guess I'm a sound synthesis fetishist or something because I will spend many hours tweaking parameters and adding / layering effects to get that perfect sound.

I have a little M-audio midi keyboard and and old yamaha digital piano. I know the major and minor chords but that's about it, I never really bother learning songs.

>> No.7426982

I have an out of tune piano in the living room that I rarely play. I swear it's made as a training piano, since all it's capable of making are cheery barroom tunes.

It's actually almost piteous when I think of the money my parents spent on having me tutored in piano when I was a child. It pretty much amounted to me saving up for a keyboard synth so I can play anison instead of something original.

Any piano players among morning /jp/-goers?

>> No.7427942

I played when I was young. I quit because I went from one song that took me months to play well enough to classic stuff that I didn't even know how to read. Now I forgot everything about it.

I only ever played the trombone, handbells, and chorus, and the handbells were iffy. More than one note at a time confuses me.

I really like my trombone though. It's almost twice as old as I am.
